America’s largest militia says it will refuse to recognise Biden as president and ‘resist’ his administration (https://news.yahoo.com/america-largest-militia-says-refuse-192813396.html?.tsrc=daily_mail&uh_test=1_02) ...
... need I make note of the spelling error?
-
They'll do about as much as the #resistance democrats did. Slap some bumper stickers on their trucks and get really angry on the internet. They can't even get many people to show up to their stupid protests - the "million MAGA march" had <10,000 people turn out by most crowd estimates.
Lots of people talk a big game, but almost everyone acts within social norms.
-
That's funny ...
You can have 100k followers; it doesn't mean even 10% of them will show to your "rally" ...
-
I faced the same thing when trying to inform people about what bush was doing and how the Clinton's and later even Obama were involved in that whole mess and the later bailouts bullshit, it does no good to get worked up. Nobody cares enough to do the research. They just sit in their comfy little corner feeling safe with what the media tells them and give you shit about tin foil.

Right ....
It's why I'm fairly "apolitical" ....
Who even listens anymore?
-
Speaking of trying to get your point across with shitty spelling ...

Is that hotlink placeholder what you were trying to post?
I'm guessing not I see "big_mistake.png" in your code.

I don't know why the pics aren't showing up today ....

Check this out.
https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/11/19/gov-newsom-announces-covid-curfew-for-california/
10pm to 5am curfew baby.
The cops here say they won't be enforcing, only informing. Still gives them a right to stop you if you are out late. Some areas may not be so fortunate, don't know, maybe just a test run. People have started clearing the TP and other shit out of the stores already due to media frenzy.

For technology ...
There's other shows on that station that cover politics ....
Additionally, we got the 10PM-5AM shit this week too ...
It's supposedly for only 2 weeks; but we'll see what up around 12/15 or so ....

I was out last night I think sometime between 8:30 and 9, very few cars on the streets. I don't see how this could help anything though, most people have concluded their visiting and partying by 10. Humm I don't go to clubs so maybe it could make a difference in that regard.
-
I've noticed a reduction in cars at all times of day (and it's a mob scene here otherwise) ...
There's very few out a night as well ...
I think you're right ...
The reason behind this, and follow me now, is that stir-crazy people will go out for Black Friday
and other holiday shopping as an excuse to get out ... And there's LOTS of it ...
I think it's a "subtle" way of heading all of that off at the pass ...

I haven't noticed any people actively hording like in the beginning but the majority of toilet paper has mysteriously disappeared in several stores around here. It's almost like the stores are deliberately withholding product to amp the hysteria. Or price.
-
Or to keep reserves this time ...
Stores that are out in the PM have it in the AM ...
-
Costco was out of all paper supplies the day I restocked toilet paper/paper towels/kleenex about two weeks ago.
I have never believed in just-in-time stocking. Maybe because my grandmother grew up in a Mormon household and they have that thing where you're supposed to stockpile supplies? Or because I lived in Mormon country for my most formative years? Maybe I remember too many stories from my grandmother about the depression or my own mom scrounging up change to buy bread? Or maybe because I'm fundamentally rational and think that supply chain interruption or failure is always a possibility?
I currently have somewhere between 60 & 70 rolls of toilet paper on hand, which is about a 4 month supply for 2 people based on published averages. I have at least 2 months worth on hand at all times.
I do drive my wife a little crazy. She hates having too much stuff. Left to my own devices, I'd have a year's worth of food, water, and all other consumables stockpiled at all times.
-
You must have a lot of storage space.
-
I was just thinking the same thing ...
-
Yeah, we have a lot of storage space. The people who owned the house before us built in all sorts of random shelving.
-
That helps ...
-
My house has 6 rooms that are mostly storage space. The problem is they are all full of shit, and now that I don't have a truck I'm basically stuck with most of it.
-
I had a 3000sqft house with 4 br's ...
I didn't have much in it ...
-
Our house is mid 2000s square footage I think. We're fairly utilitarian in the things we do have, other than books.
I'd take a smaller house with less storage space overall if I had it to do over again.
-
I downsized too ...
The novelty wears off when you have to mow the 1.25 acre lot ...
Or schedule your cleaning by sections (I did 10min a day/section) ...
