Title: Schedule Of Upgrading To Latest Version Of SMF (2020)
Post by: Thrash on December 01, 2020, 10:18:10 AM
They just came out with the new version recently, however, I was reading about issues with the
last updates they had, so, I'm going to give it to the end of the year and then upgrade ...
(Same thing with TSi and e107)

My logic:
Also, it gives me a time-frame for doing so ...

There's also supposed to be a couple of extra "features" within it that we may or may not use ...

My timeline for upgrades will be to have it done by 1/10/21 ...

Thank you ...
(Now piss off!)

Shit, After all this time I just realized we can close the quote box. (or is that new?)

But We still can't change our sig and other profile things so I guess I'll have to wait until next year.

I couldn't find a fix for those issues, however, the newest upgrades claim to fix "a bunch of random bugs" ....
Hopefully the sigs and other things that stopped working are part of that ....

Ok, for the record, I've moved the hosts to a faster, more stable host ...
I've also upgraded TSi (as of today, 01/04/21) ...
Quote
System: e107
Version 2.3.0
I might convert it, if I can, to a "forum only" software (maybe SMF; I've no idea yet) ...

The upgrade for this site's software (L-G) is coming soon ...
I'm just going over the notes for SMF to make sure everything is solid (and compatible) before I do it ...

I'll keep watch over the months for any further upgrades ...

Let me know in the BUGS (http://loaded-gun.com/index.php?topic=2056.0) thread if there's any issues ...

Ok, I literally just reinstalled the few plug-ins we had ...
(Stats/Video Players) ...

It should be good to go. and all the broken features (that were previously bug-related) should be sorted ...

Yeah profile and preferences seem to work now. Haven't tried to change the sig but seems like I have the option now. Seems to work much better.
One thing I noticed when loading this time, no recent posts listed!
I might have made a decision while in profiles.
