Title: Your very own Geek nearly ended up on parking wars

Have any of you seen this show?

Cameras follow the most notorious parking authority in the US, the Philly Parking Authority (Im sure this station couldnt afford NY so they end up here) If any of you are familiar with the show - I live right down the street from the infamous and inefficient impound lot.


Detroit and I decided to get some dinner and ate on a really nice local strip of family owned joints. Parking is free from 6:30 pm, or at least it used to be. It was currently 6:50 so we figured we were ok (we failed to read the new signs).

While eating, we noticed the parking wars cameras go by following some parking authority asshat. We just kept eating.

When we get out we see this guy finishing the ticket, post it on my car, and walked away to stand in front of the fucking open air bar and chat with the people - and order a fucking beer.
The cameras were around the corner.

I read the sign and sure enough, free parking NOW starts at 9:30. Ok my fault. I walk towards the doors and my eye catches another car - meter expired, right in front of mine - NO TICKET. I noticed a WHOLE FUCKING LINE OF CARS WITH NO TICKETS.

So I rip out the ticket and march over to the now jolly asshole and start asking him if he's going to ticket every motherfucker on the block along with my car?
I need to mention that I'm screaming in this guy's face at this point.

He just stared at me and I fucking saw red. I just wanted him to answer so I could yell more. can't remember what I said next but thankfully the cameras came around AFTER i decided I had yelled enough and began the cross back to my car.

Then I yelled some more from passenger seat.

Raving Lunatic? Or angry taxpayer? I haven't decided what I am yet.

So there it is, friends. I narrowly avoided being on that show.
I would have never signed the release anyway.


Look at what a google search revealed! the guy that gave me the ticket. COy fucker.

I'd have gotten the camera crew first. I love that show and I love the attention.

And they're in Philly cuz airing that show from any other city on the east coast would get those assholes hunted down and killed. Philly is about as easy as they come.
