I joined Anti-Social.com eleven years ago. We had some interesting discussions back then. I remember the likes of Abby, HitlerJesus, Ed Gein and others, all joining the fray during the internet explosion. The net was a wild, uncommercialized place back then, fairly void of big commercial presence and hate sites (nazis, muslims, etc), and the free web was promising a whole new world of expression. And expression we got, didn't we? I miss those days...

They're probably the single punk band I still listen to. The absolute apex of my life was having Paul Cripple google himself and write me a pissy email telling me "I never got it" after reading some drunken post I had written last summer. My high school friends had bullied me into seeing their "re-formed" incarnation play this suburban Jersey VFW hall, and I was the only woman there old enough to menstruate. I think I said something about a heroin glaze over late middle-aged eyes and how Dave Insurgent would kill himself all over again. Dude was pissed, said he'd be mentioning me at their next show.
That's when I knew I had made it.

I started this thread in 2009 under my other username with two l's. I forgot the damn password and don't even know what email I used to register so I can't recover it.
It was 1998 when I discovered Anti-Social.com. The internet was wild and free back then and Anti-Social was on the cutting edge. I posted daily. We had amazing personalities, flame wars, a real sense of community ... and so much fun.
But now the internet is one big nasty corporate slop. So sad.
