Isn't that more like homoerotic?

Anyway:

-Zeppelin's Immigrant Song
-Lots of Gn'R
-Black Flag

Ok, who wants to argue this with Si?  Fine, I will:  I think we all know that the manlier you get, the more things naturally turn homoerotic but as long as it doesn't actually cross into the homosexual zone it's ok.  For example, if Manowar started singing about the YMCA and rubbing their balls on each other, then that would cross that line.  And have you seen Axel Rose's hair in Welcome To The Jungle?  Is that not homo?

Isn't Manowar the pretend LOTR band or something like that?

You could call A LOT of power metal bands "pretend LOTR bands".  I take no offense to that cuz the metal-ized soundtrack to LOTR would have to be epic, and epic is awesome.

The Who aren't manlier than any other band, but they are a good band for sure.

Oh, Iron Maiden! Manliness for sho.

I'll usually come limping back to a good Townes Van Zandt record whenever I feel up to my neck with limpdicks.

Alternately, Bill Callahan/Smog.  I'm thinking, "I Break Horses."

Nothing more masculine than a miserable island of a dude.

I think I'd have to say that Death Metal is the epitome of manly music.

Don't like death metal. I tried when I was in the states but it's not my thing

Tom Waits/Leonard Cohen

For that melancholy, "I drink alone with my demons" kinda manly vibe.
