My dad is 79 years old, and has been a "drinker" all of his life. He retired at the age of 45 to devote himself, full-time, to the hobby. (Evidently, beer isn't as bad for you as hard lix. go figure.) He had been an enlisted man in the Navy, who was "mustang"ed into an officership and retired as a Commander.
My mom, also 79 this year, had a major medical catastrophe befall her, which halted her drinking enthusiasms, but arguments in our house were usually pretty horrific events.

Long story, short: Raised by alchie's, am probably an alchie ~ not sure, 'cuz i quit for long periods of time, for no particular reason other than it might interfere with my professional judgements. Same goes for herb, which is the only illegal drug i do. i had really wanted to ask them what that first round of banning was all about ~ i figured out that it was something about SE being a pedo, someone posting that he was, i think he was making noises about suing for defamation, or some b.s., but i pieced most of that together well after the fact. It also involved TGK and all of his Poop Pix, and posts, and that was where i stepped into the Free Speech quicksand. AND there was something about Bella, and i tried to offer some advice, but i really didn't have CLUE about what was going on there.
And, no, at this late date, i neither care nor am curious, anymore.

I told TGK about it and he said he wanted it. So I posted his email addy and told Juggy that he wanted a copy. And of course, in proper Skip fashion I got a 21 day ban for posting the pic, which I never even saw.
This is why that place needs to be destroyed. You can't claim to support freedom of speech if you can't do a self-examination and admit you occasionally make a mistake.

Basically how much Hip Inc makes, how much they spend for premium Google status, and info the HoJo uncovered about the fact that while Skip rages on about how hypocritical Christians are, he also takes their money to host their websites and spread their fundy bullshit.

When I showed him that he was mistaken when he banned me last time he couldn't admit it.
