Got addicted to this Australian series and have now watched all episodes of Spellbinder and Spellbinder 2 just over this past week.

Spellbinder - Episode 1 - The Big Bang (1)

A bit annoying at times due to the contrived coincidences and at least one major glaring improbability in Land of the Dragon Lord, plus the intros and outros are way too fucking long,  but I still found it enjoyable.

Well it's science fiction/fantasy so you have to suspend reality but this was a case of the super villain stealing a trans-dimensional machine and then inexplicably sending it back so they could come after her. Something she really didn't want.
