right - like we're going to imagine any depth to a relationship posted about here
Loaded-Gun.com - I don't know what the hell they are talking about or why they are even there. They don't make serious points and they don't joke, but they still manage to make a lot of posts somehow.

No, but I mean look:
A) She was giving me bedroom rights. That's not a small thing for a guy like me.
B) She stood me up for a total of 1 movie (post breakup). She also paid for a lot of my meals and generally insisted on paying for things like cabs and transportation fare.
C) Other friends of mine have set me up for all kinds of things. This was more of a friend flaking on you sort of thing I think than an ex playing with your mind sort of thing. The only reason I complained is because it was kind of a character trait of hers. Being flaky on things I mean.
D) What does this have to do with the bagman's situation?

Anyway that's the best I can do. Obviously I could have handled the situation with her better. Story of my life.

EDIT: (microing personal details and returning to main topic)

On topic: I like Brad Bird quite a bit too. Especially the less mainstream stuff he's done has been great. The mainstream stuff is ok, but seeing film-related gear in the happy-meal prize-window-box at McDonalds tends to make me sad. Anyway his newest film, 1906 has me excited.

What about stop motion?
I quite like Svankmajer and the Quay brothers. Adam Jones is also quite good.
I really like my stop motion to look like Joseph Cornell come to life. Any thoughts?

stop motion animation usually gives me motion sickness, actually.

Stop Motion?  Moral Orel, hands-down, especially the final season.

I know it's not funny, but I just can't wrap my head around this. It's like my dad who would get violently motion-sick from playing FPSes on the computer.
You guys are too into it!

@Phaed - Yeah Morel Orel is pretty damn funny. I have yet to explore the series deeply though.

Re: Animation Reply #44 on: April 09, 2009, 03:58:56 PM
The "Christmas Special", which a lot of people think came at the end of the first season but is actually the pilot of the show, is the best.  The first season is pretty silly and crappy, but in the last season they got back to the dark humor that it had in the pilot, and it was great.  Especially the two-part story about the father/son hunting trip.

Yeah I remember watching it a while ago and not thinking it was funny at all but then i saw some last year and laughed my ass off.
I must have been watching stuff from season 1 the first time.

So long as it doesn't suck as bad as Heavy Metal 2000.

Hey I didn't know Eastman owns Heavy Metal.  No wonder it sucks now.

There was a late 70s/early 80s animated film with, like, cat people or mouse people in it.  and they end up summoning the devil?
I'm not sure.  I saw it on TV about a decade ago, and I didn't think to write down the title.

I liked it, though.

PS - it was not a nymh movie.
Like yours.  Only different.
