I thought some of you might like these.

I found that the Desktop Movie app works very well with this YouTube video.

Rainforest Relaxation Video 3 Hours in HD
If saved as an Mp4 it is 4.44gb and plays for three hours or so ... with no fucking music! Good on W7u and says it's good with W8x

Hell it's going in the background right now.

None of these need installation and do just what they say and nothing else. I can even turn the sound off using the Desktop Movie Player Controls and play movies all night with VLC while this is running.

They use very few resources, with all three you can make your desktop pretty cool.

Ok it can play any video format and there may be other videos you might want to use it with as a background.

Seems like Vista had this capability and the VLC media Player can put the video on your desktop but far from as slick as this.
They all have options to start with windows but in the case of the movie player you might not find that a good option since every time it starts you have to point it to a media file. But a shortcut gets it going when wanted.

Alright, I'm done.

The desktop Movie app uses some memory but I guess that will depend a lot on your video card. Hardly uses any processor power. Everything works the same on my W7 desktop even with the water fall running in the background.

You can try it with any video in most any format. The Aero Clock is only using 0.29% of processor power on my XP laptop and the hide Icons doesn't even have a value. I can check later on my desktop about percentage of usage for the desktop video app but I don't have it on the laptop.

Hmmmm ...
How much memory does it use with a 4gb file loaded?

It streams the file but it needs to be local. By that I mean you need to download it and have it on the same HD.

Crap man just try it, none of them need to be installed and make no registry entries unless you want them to boot with windows and so if you don't like em just throw them away.
