I know most of you have full-time jobs, but I, for one, have been working a contingent position for almost five years. I have been, for nearly four years, looking for a full time job. Now, I've used:

Careerbuilder (all I get are sales-positions calls, which want you to buy into their training, usually $200+, every now and again I get a worthy hit)

Monster (Not even worth the time)

Craigslist (the best so far, but they keep their listings there for far too long, and it's sometimes hard to filter the bullshit)

Elance (I'm novice at using it)

LinkedIn (not really for employment, but gives you an opportunity to upload relevant professional content)

Work4Illinois (state jobs: they pay well, the only drawback is that you have to show up to their testing center with a print out of the application and take a standard test for the position; it sucks if you don't have a printer)

So, with that said. Any advice? Or should I look into selling drugs on the net for Bitcoin?

I think the best way is to hunt down employers directly where possible.  Every intermediate step in the process is a point where someone other than the actual employer is making a decision to either pass you through or ignore you.  The fewer steps the better.
