Tomorrow I get to pilot a 24' sailboat that I've never laid eyes on through a busy commercial harbor in 8-20 knot winds in the middle of a cold front. If I don't shit myself I'll sleep for two days after.

salem and danvers (i recommend) if you have time to explore a bit. rebecca nurse's house/homestead is pretty interesting to see, as well as the barn-slash-courthouse, which, if memory serves, is also in danvers. what a perfect time for the salem trip, though. those people go ga-ga this month leading up to halloween. halloween itself this year should be huge, as it falls on a saturday. the entire town is in crazy costume, walking the streets, partying.
