Anarchy!

just kidding. but seriously, i'm going to see face to face tonight at the house of blues in beantown. so excited. never thought they'd come to the east coast during this reunion tour. now, when trever keith hugged me on the occasion of our last meeting, i definitely got the gay vibe. because this is a larger venue than the middle east in cambridge, there may not be many opportunities for me to catch his eye and make a moment so as to make a final decision on the status of his sexuality. wish me luck. this means a lot to me.

Face to Face brings back so many memories.

I never could get into Face to Face. One of the few people I know here on the island who also likes punk is a huge fan of them, and always tried to get me to like 'em. Can't do it, they're just too poppy sounding.
ever tried. ever failed. no matter. try again. fail again. fail better.

I think they are just wonderful. Similar to Down By Law, Samiam, and that whole era.

Of course, if you want energy with a bit of grit, there is always Against All Authority, Devotchkas, Tilt (also the band that Cinder of Tilt sings for now), The Varukers, The Virus, and A Global Threat.

they definitely ride the line to pop punk, but they've been so influential in my world of music, and so many songs remind me of different times or events in my life over the last ten years. the show was awesome. i raged out (as much as was appropriate, considering it was a face to face show). i think that might be my last pit experience. le sigh. getting old sucks because old chicks in pits = LIFE FAIL. so sad.

on another note, i'm going to see sunny day real estate in a week. i'm going to bring my...

Backpack! because i'm all emo and i'm going to hold onto the straps and tap along to the music on my chest. i'm going to try not to cry when jeremy enigk busts into in circles. i wish i was more than half-kidding.

At one of our local metal clubs, we have a lot women in the pit. These women slam as hard as their cock endowed counterparts. Seeing those women in a violent frenzy is a turn on.

There were a lot of women in the pit at the Horton Heat/Nekromantix show we went to. Although I have to say it was a fairly tame pit.

Horton Heat, Nashville Pussy and Motorhead played in Dallas yesterday. If my car was fixed I would have been there. Oh well...
I have an American dream, but mine involves Black Masks and Gasoline..

Hip darling, I think you just moved up a spot on my top 10 hot list. Face to Face is one of my favorite bands, super fast, super sick, super energy. They're actually playing here in Austin on 11/7 at the Fun Fun Fun fest, but I'll be on a flight back from Japan and won't make it! ARGH!@#$!@$

What's your favorite song by F2F?

Mine:
Face to Face - You Lied

Music transcends trends, and times.

No it doesnt, not if its 1980's Hair Metal.

Hair metal is a misnomer. There is nothing metal about it.

Yeah, Poison & the N Sync are about on par.  It's all pop, just playing different images.

And pop music generally is hit or miss in how it ages.
