No hope, no fear.
Basically a different phrasing of "be here now" that I ran across in three different books on Buddhism that I've read over the years, but more to the point of addressing two of my own particular weaknesses - keeping my head out of the clouds and dealing with the world as it is rather than how I think things should be, and to act & do what I think is good, or the best course of action, instead of sitting around and wringing my hands over lots of "if this, then that" scenarios.
It has worked well as a constant reminder when I'm being passive in either respect, as I intended when I got them...I just wouldn't want either alone.
