Maybe it's just getting easier for them to get things passed at state level (in some states)...

I remember as a child being scared of the USA far more than I was Russia.  Actually I was never scared of Russia... Regan scared the shit out of me.  And I can feel that fear of the USA comming back... it's faint, but there.
