I keep finding LEGOs on the street as I walk to school. I always pick them up and then add them to a growing sculpture when I get home. I have some 15 or 20 pieces by now. My friends always feel obliged to remind me that picking shit off the street is unhealthy. Fuck that noise. If I see a LEGO, it's going in my pocket. My only fear is if the muggers figure me out and make a line of them leading into a side alley.

been craving hot cheetos.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #902 on: December 28, 2014, 12:30:30 AM
I love hot Cheeto's, the little crunchy spiral ones.

My stew turned out really good but I'm not hungry right now because malt liquor takes the hunger away.

Hey Thrash remember the link you posted to avoid anything with beans at Taco Bell.
Because they are reconstituted from dehydrated beens?
I've been thinking about that and aren't all of the main beens dehydrated?

Hahahaha, How was it anyway?

I want to address the nut situation! I love walnuts but perusing this idea I find even a small parcel of walnuts is amazingly expensive-Jesus when I was growing up walnuts weren't anything. Now I see all nuts have become almost unbuyable.  $5.00 dollar's for a few small ounces? WTF
You should get a tote sack full for $5.00.

Is it because of the drought? it isn't just walnuts, all other species are effected. THE PRICES for all shell nuts (except peanuts) in short ARE RIDICULOUS. ?

Radishes? My mom always chopped these suckers down to a hint of their existence. Tops off quite deep, tails off quite deep, leaving only a part of the main body, what a stupid bitch! I love the tails and leave them intact and now I know the tops are also very good for you to eat, (as long as they are fresh) in salads or stir fried as part of another dish. These are great things that should not be discarded. I will shop for radishes with a new eye from now on. I've always wondered why my mother was so paranoid about shit like this.

Well she died young (cigarettes) at 41 so I guess I will never know. Guess her paranoia about shit didn't help her.  ( did it have to do with pesticides?) something to think about.

But burning hamburger patties onto crunchy pucks for your children and most other meats to make sure they were fully done seems a bit over kill. (And worse than leaving it part raw) Give me a nice juicy rare steak today. My mom would have puked!

I buy peanuts. on rare occasions when I absolutely HAD to have a nut, Id buy. when I was in TX, pecan trees are easy to find. I brougght from TX and shelled about 10 cups of em. and that was only half of what I brought.

had an uncle in law ate radishes like peppers. very weird. Not particularly fond of the rasdish/ horseradish/ ginger flavors. cept once. hahahahaha

i like  light not too boozy beers. dont like to get drunk, just a light buzz. they are refreshing and delicious. three deep, and I can type, but have a buzz.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #912 on: December 28, 2014, 10:08:54 PM
Three deep for you is three forties for me and yes I can still type in that/this condition. I'm not saying this is a good thing .

Drank two forties before going bowling and had a pitcher while there and still beat my buddy. He brought along his 6 year old and she was a blast. She actually beat both of us.

What a cool girl she is.  It was a really good time.

I want a salad, dammit, but all we have is iceberg lettuce.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #921 on: December 29, 2014, 05:57:16 PM
I bought Iceberg 2 days ago, I have tomatoes and cottage cheese to go with it.
I actually bought it as an excuse to use my cottage cheese before it goes bad.
The tops on my radishes have already started to wilt. But I have fresh green onions!

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #925 on: December 29, 2014, 07:51:26 PM
I love charro beans. cilantro, onion, tomato, cumin, pork, either bacon, or hunks of meat and low and slow cooking.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #926 on: December 29, 2014, 08:52:01 PM
>>I love charro beans<<

What are charro beans? You mean refried?

A great addition to many recipes.

Refried is exactly what the story is about.

Easy to cook beans and gage there reception, cook them again and let them dry out,
Then you have what TACO BELL has.

This is not really bad, the important stuff is still present.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #927 on: December 29, 2014, 09:06:16 PM
charro, usually the aforementioned veggies, and some kind of meat for grease, either pork, usually the skin or chorizo. you can add whole peppers and fish em out when done and it has a good deep spicy flavor.

refried, usually just plain beans, mashed with more animal fat, again, usually chorizo. Love refried beans on a fresh flour tortilla.
