A Kyle-Sasha-Sasha 3some. That's what I'm talking about!
I'm eating a sandwich right now and right when I read this I took a bite, opened my mouth in disgusted gaping awe and the half bitten piece fell out of my mouth.

Bull, nobody is allergic to mushrooms!

Tonight I had a baked half turkey breast marinated in Cajun marinade for a couple hours, tented and baked at 350 for 50 minutes then slathered with Sweet Baby Ray's sweet and spicy barbecue sauce and roasted for another 20 minutes while I made Broccoli with cheese sauce (microwave) and homestyle scalloped potatoes. (saucepan) It was pretty fricking good.

I call it an allergy, I don't know what it is, but whenever I eat mushrooms I get sick for at least two days.  I feel nauseus, drug down, and generally shitty.

Why would anyone eat that crap anyway it's fungus that grows on shit and refuse.

my niece got hives as a kid from eating mushrooms. course, they were from a chinese buffet. could have had a multitude of things.

Dave, what do you make your dumplings with?

I made black eyed peas with a huge piece of pork belly and quinoa.

nnnnnoooo. never enough mushrooms on anything.

havent found a dumpling i like unless its asian dumplings, which is not the same as those dumplings. had some they just cut biscuits into pieces and dropped in broth. it was gross.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #1058 on: February 07, 2015, 01:52:33 PM
Yeah biscuits wouldn't be cool. I've only ever had dumplings that were worth a crap once, (grandma) and I've never tried to make them myself.
But  biscuits and gravy are pretty dam satisfying.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #1076 on: February 11, 2015, 01:32:28 PM
I got a loaded veggie omelette from Denny's today, off the fit fare menu.  I had to request no mushrooms, but it had cucumber, spinach, and diced tomatoes in it and damn the spinach tasted good.  The whole thing was awesome.  And I feel tons better after the protien and vegetables.  I think I'm gonna start buying eggs, spinach and tomatoes to make my own for breakfast.  The only way I know how to cook scrambled eggs is in the microwave, but I like them that way and it's easy.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #1077 on: February 11, 2015, 08:13:58 PM
its not that hard to cook eggs on the stove top. med heat, non stick pan, stir it every 30 seconds for about two min. done.

Re: Current Food Thoughts Reply #1078 on: February 11, 2015, 08:44:59 PM
Yep, Or cast iron skillet and a little butter. Scrambled and omelets start out the same way, except with scrambled you can just mix em up in the pan.
For an omelet you need to mix the eggs up in a cup or bowl, you can add just a little milk to make it fluffier. Pour the egg mix into the preheated pan.
Let it sit and cook a few then add your filling material. Once the bottom is firm enough simply fold it over once or twice and cook until done. Turning once.

It helps to have a pan about the size of the omelet so the filling doesn't have as much chance to ooze out. But you can use a larger pan if you like them a little firm.

Same thing with French toast, so easy man.
