Yeah, but with my back, respiratory, blood pressure, and other problems I need to make shit as absolutely easy as possible, so for me it's crack two eggs into a paper bowl , mix them and zap them for three minutes, eat then throw away the bowl, no cleanup.

Sounds like a plan, if I didn't actually like to cook I would always go that way myself.
Standing at the sink cleaning pots and pans is no picnic. I do use a LOT more paper plates these days though.

Flour based hamburger gravy on toast? like what we called shit on a shingle back in the Mil? That's some good fucking shit I tell ya what. Reminds me what i can do with the Lb of hamburger I just bought the other day.

Almost like biscuits and gravy except with toast and hamburger gravy. A Little salt and pepper, along with the rue (very light if used) are all the seasonings required.   

A little corn starch can be used along with the flour as well.

I saw some kale at a store today and the bunches were really small, more like spinach. This is not typical.
Kale can get really big leaves, same as mustard.

yeah, Kale here is pretty big. Its getting harder to find full grown spinach. al you see is baby spinach anymore.

lol I had no clue you were in CA. I grew up in south east tx. everything has pork fat in it. lol Soul food is soooo good.

Zoom made bitchin pizza last night. baby bellas, diced romas, wilted mixed greens, thick cut pepperoni, and fresh mozzarella. Gonna have that for late breakfast and gonna make fajita tacos on flour with red tomato salsa and cilantro for dinner.

Sounds wonderful.

Tonight I had part of a 3/4" pork steak baked in the oven with corn and mashed potatoes.

Yesterday I had spaghetti with meatballs, traditional sauce and garlic bread, how original right!
Oh I have enough of that left over for lunch tomorrow. LOL

And have enough of the pork steak left for at least one more meal.

Oh you do the taco thing often so I suggest the chicken.

I've been doing pork for a while but I have chicken thighs in the freezer and they are starting to sound good again. What really sounds good is the chicken livers I have in there. But I have been dealing with some gout related problems recently and chicken livers no matter how tasty aren't going to help with that.

I went with the chicken strips and a huge caesar salad. Gonna make tacos tomorrow. Need to make the tortillas before the dough goes bad. Cant make tacos without salsa though. Might put on a pot of black beans. then take the leftovers to a get together sunday.

Si (aka FAH-Q) shares your aversion and as a child I did as well. like I told him, once in a while, livers, chicken and or beef, are wonderful. I like chicken livers better because they are already bite sized.

I bet Aaron had had it a few times. Common with grilled onions.

Nothing wrong with that! Do whatever works, man. Who gives a shit if you're doing things "the right way" or whatever? The more you can eat healthier foods, the better you'll feel in general. Eggs and veg is a great combo.

CFT: I've been trying to shop smarter recently. All the supermarkets around here offer some amazing prices on stuff that expires that day or soon, including vegetables and meat. So I've been adapting what I cook to what's available for super cheap, and aside from costing less money, it's making me be more creative. I made a killer Thai/Chinese-type soup the other day because I found reductions on stir-fry pork, celery, cilantro, thyme, carrots, swede, spinach, sweet peppers, Brussels sprouts, and chili peppers. It fed me for a couple of days and I froze about three litres of it.

I couldnt do that. I dont wanna go tot the store every day, for one, but its too far here, and Zoom is gone half the week. Plus, I like pre planning meals.

I've been doing it largely because I seem to find myself in the store almost every day, picking up something or other that we need. For the most part, I'm not even spending much extra on petrol, because of the school run etc.

the last chicken alfredo I made sucked balls cause the chicken was weird. itching to make it again. I decided to add some jerk chicken to tonights meal.
