Yep I cracked open a beer after I ate mine and kicked back to watch a video. Before I knew it I woke up thinking it was the next morning! The screen was blank and it was gray outside. I thought WOW that's the best nights sleep I've had in a while. Then I realized it was dusk not dawn and the spaghetti had flat knocked me out for a couple hours. Wasn't but a sip gone from the beer.

I have no reason to make home made sauce just doing for myself Hilder. This was Italian sausage flavor and was really good with a little parmesan sprinkled on.

Oh I've often added fresh diced tomatoes and browned ground beef if doing meat flavor.

sure you do. Its amazing. Next time I make some, Im gonna make a shit ton and make a lasagna, and cut it into 3, foil wrap individually, freeze, and twice bake it. tastes better that way. with LOTS of veggies.

I hope you do a plastic or wax paper wrap on them first, tomato acid can really attack aluminum and leach it into the food.

I don't always, not as much of a problem as back in the day, they do a pretty good job of cleaning them now.
But I still like to soak them a while then drain and rinse them before cooking.

Oh, I think soaking may be mostly effective for dry beans that have been in storage for a long while.
I have some that have been in dry storage for over 20 years. (not what I'm cooking now) but I bet they would cook better if soaked over night.

Some people say it reduces flatulence if soaked first, I haven't really seen any evidence of that.

I have old pintos I have to cook for two days. might try soaking them next time, though if theyre gonna be in water, might as well be on fire. i heard the skins are the gas producers. babies get skin free beans as a way to reduce colic when theyre starting on solid foods. .

Yeah the quick soak method is to put the beans on the fire for an hour or so at a low simmer then drain them, refill with fresh water and continue cooking.

I just stir it for a good long while. used white vinegar. and made the cake, which is setting the stabilized coconut whipped cream frosting. Still might Make the rolls.. I got caught up in rearranging a cupboard and cleaning the kitchen counters back to white.
