We went in late winter so pretty nice, weather wise. That city is far closer to the rest of Asia and further from japan in terms of infrastructure and standard of living than they would like you to think. Good food, however. Next time I travel I'm going for a week tho, these 3-4 day trips are too tiring

Many years ago, my kickass little sister suggested that I give whisky a try, despite not being a fan of any other hard spirits (I only really started heavily drinking at all when I was about 19 or 20, and have mostly stuck to beer and cider and wine and less potent stuff... and trust me, living in El Caribe and not drinking rum is like some kinda blasphemy to most folks around here). The first bottle I bought was Glenfiddich, which I discovered I quite liked. Back then I drank it chilled, which I now realize is a mistake, but whatever. Anyway, in my subsequent travels through various whiskies I've found that Glenfiddich isn't actually a favourite of mine anymore at all, in fact I now find it quite harsh. Glenlivet is awesome, as far as expensive-but-available-everywhere single malts go, and I've waxed poetic all over this board on the inexpensive-but-awesome merits of good ol' blended-from-various-good-whiskies, relatively-cheap-as-fuck Famous Grouse. Long drunken story long, I'd love to try some 73 y/o Glenfiddich just to say I did, but wouldn't be terribly surprised if it wasn't my cup o' scotch.

PS: I'm drunk.

PPS: $39.00000 seems pretty reasonable for such a rare bottle of scotch, no?

Well friends,  it took 18 days but I finally gave someone the fucking business today. Sorry to say it was an American, though.
After weeks of this one student's general assholery (coming late to class, eating in class, not listening in class and interrupting to ask questions that indicate he clearly wasn't listening, being generally rude...) I had it.

I just got done from 1 hour of practice, another hour of rehearsal and went to sit on this long padded bench to wait for the next set of musicianship classes to start and I notice the pad on the bench is full of crumbs... fucking FULL... a bench that could sit 4 people, full of crumbs from side to side! loads of flaky croissant crumbs.

I muttered "Who the fuck eats and then leaves their crumbs!?" then brushed them off and sat down.
Opposite of me (on opposing benches) was this rude asshat mentioned above -  he laughs and says "Oh yeah, that was me!" as if it was fucking funny to watch me clean up his mess.
So i said "what, you don't believe in cleaning up after yourself? Whats that about?"
and he laughs and said "No, because I'm spoiled!"

I can't remember if I called him an asshole, jackass or worthless but it was something along those lines.
Either way, the point was clear. He was a fucker, and I was there to tell him.

I doubt he'll be sitting near me in lectures anytime soon.

So who won the bet?

No blood spilled, no winner. Yet.

Whoever bet 36 seconds wins anyway, since that was the longest time frame with a wager.
