I'm out of booze. It's times like this I wish I had a car. The liquor store is an option, but it's really dangerous to go there. I live in a rough town.

I used to drink Miller High Life when I was in the states. It was $1 per quart. Shite, shite beer

I won't stand by and listen to you philistines slander the good name of the motherfuckin' CHAMPAGNE OF BEERS.  Miller High Life was what me and my buddies all drank when we had parties in high school and college.  I've put back so many cases of that shit I can't even count them all.  You can (could?) get a 30-pack for $12.  We usually got 2 or 3 of them.  It tastes way better than other beers in the same price range.  It's by far the best cheap shit beer and when you are a dumb kid drinking for quantity to get smashed it is hands down the best choice.  By volume, I've probably consume more Miller High Life in my lifetime than any other beer.  Not only that but in the fall they release these mad redneck-status orange "hunting season" cans with deer on them and shit.  Fucking classy.

By volume, I've probably consume more Miller High Life in my lifetime than any other beer.  Not only that but in the fall they release these mad redneck-status orange "hunting season" cans with deer on them and shit.  Fucking classy.

By volume it's probably been High Life for me since I've been in the States. (Prior to that? Molson Canadian. I adore the stuff.)

You don't lie. I put back 2-4 quarts of that a day for 6 months. We found our price range, explored the options and Miller H/L came out waaaaay on top. I miss that now I'm in Tokyo and an average beer is $2 per can

By volume, the second most I've probably drunk in the US is the stuff my highschool buddies brew. It's delicious and they're always tinkering with the flavors to get them just right, so it's like your own private taste testing every time you go to their place. It's apparently cheap as fuck if you brew your own, and the kits are fairly easily obtainable back home. If only I had some free time on my hand I might look into it. They brew some mean mead as well.

That is soooooo on my list of things to do once I move to somewhere with a bit of space (don't laugh - we're actually planning on fleeing the city).

1. Brew own beer
2. Have some chikkins
3. (if we live far enough out) Get a couple of goats and experiment making cheese

I grew up with chikkins. They're not bad, although you have to make sure the hens either never hatch the eggs or if you're letting them do that then you have to be ruthless with the roosters. Too many roosters is unpleasant for all concerned. We were too kind-hearted to the roosters when I was growing up so we had between 5 and 8 roosters to our 20-30 hens. The ratio should be more like 10-20 hens to 1 rooster.

The roosters were good fellows though. Whenever chikkins would be eaten by wildlife, it was always the roosters who were eaten. They protected their turf.

I need to get my hands on some Amarula again. That stuff is wonderful for a nightcap.
