taking it one step further, if the trust violator was someone you were in a relationship with- could you carry on in a relationship with them?
would you ever be able to have a happy and trusting relationship again?!
If they lied about some aspect of the relationship (love, sex, money, time, interests), then that bridge is burnt. It doesn't mean all of the bridges burn, though.
If someone says they're just going to visit a friend, and they end up making out with the dude all afternoon, then I'll still trust them to show up to a party that they invited me to where I don't know anyone.
So, in this case: if sex is important to the relationship, then it either needs to change form or dissolve.
