That Psycho Killer vid is like 1978. You can tell, he still has 70s hair LOL. He's still considered a local here. Everyone claims to know him.

Are you kidding me?  There was so much good about the 80's, it was just underground.

The VL was the pinnacle. 3 litre turbocharged Nissan engine, and the Calais was gorgeous. The VN was awful.
Dick Johnson and his Sierra? The best thing about the Touring Cars was the JPS BMW's. They looked evil.

Do you remember Beatbox? That was way, way better than Rage.

trivia : My old man raced against Dickie back in the 60s.

I'm useless with 80s blue and reds. The VN was the first one that came to me.

Yeah, I remember alot from the 80s bathurst races, more than i do from the recent ones.

Beatbox was abit before me, but I am aware of it.

re: talking heads

not much is better than putting on the 'stop making sense' dvd in the background of a party, getting drunk and stoned and having a kickass heads dance party.

key songs aside from those already mentioned:

girlfriend is better
making flippy floppy

I cant stand them. I really want to punch Mark Seymour in the face.

I'd rather listen to the Reels or the Go Betweens.

Re: Talking Heads Reply #49 on: May 04, 2009, 04:10:03 PM
Now for movies with The Heads on the soundtrack....and in first place.

Down and out in Beverly Hills.

Great film.

Agreed. And actually I was introduced to Talking Heads via the song Road to Nowhere at the end of the movie Little Monsters (Savage bros! w000t!*). I watched till the end of the credits, then asked my dad "ever heard of a band called Talking Heads?". He'd heard of them but wasn't too familiar with their stuff, so we went down to HMV or wherever and bought a best-of album. This one, I think. We both really liked it, and played it all the time in the car. My dad was pretty cool with stuff like that, very open to trying out new music and getting into things I expressed interest in.

*Oh and fuckin' Howie Mandel played Maurice, the good monster. And Frank Whaley played Boy, the evil fuck. Check out the big brain on Boy!

My daughter just watched this movie for the first time a few days ago and she loved it. And then we had a dance party to Road to Nowhere when the movie ended. Good times.
