It was fucking great until 1999. It started getting shitty around then. I believe that's when conan obrien stopped writing for the Simpsons. now fox keeps renewing it, made that shit movie and it just keeps limping along. I don't even watch the new episodes - pure shit.

As a side note, the episode where Maude Flanders Dies (Falls off the stadium) happened on February 13, 2000 ( just wiki-ed that) and I distinctly remember posting on A-S about it in Entertainment during the episode. We were theorizing about why the writers would kill off her character

I catch new ones on occasion and it's very hit or miss. Still, one of the greats.

I liked the movie but don't bother with the new episodes anymore.

Oh and I happened to be in LA in '07, and got to go to one of the Kwik-E-Marts they set up.
