Unfortunately the Japanese associate is unable to attend, so all bets are now off.
Yours,
Nick
-
Wondering if there will be an influx of people inviting themselves along? Like the Japan thing. One thing is certain, Dave will not be there (Australia or Japan).
-
There's enough beer, beach and 'roo for everyone.
I wonder if I can track Zofia down
-
awesome, I'll go
-
I want to go too, but I doubt I can.
-
srsly it's going to be sweet. I want to go to ACDC lane again because that's the most awesome name for a street e-v-a-r
-
You can mail your dole form in, Nick.
-
where do you live?
can you come to melbourne?
-
Brisbane.
Yeah.
-
Dude, as good as done.... We'll party like its on sale for $19.99
ACDC lane is a must, we will spend some quality time in the Cherry Bar.

This I would not care about, I can rustle up room.
-
5 nights boyo.
Zoomie, why don't you sail down?
-
.....in a pirate ship!
-
His floaties are not rated for the open ocean.
-
Yes, in these trying economic times I am keeping all projects under 25 feet. Though it has been done. Dave and Jaja Martin sailed around the world in a Cal 25 for 6 years, had three kids, but it was heavily modified and I don't even have a passport. Or the $7K it would cost to get through the Panama Canal...
-
take it around the cape, or the horn!
also, i hear the ice in the north is not as bad since the global mean temperature has increased!
edit: pussy.
-
Watch out for those rogue waves though.
-
Not the right time of year anyway. Trade winds are in the wrong direction and if they weren't, I'd have to cross the hurricane launchpad (i.e. the Southern Atlantic between Africa and the Caribbean.) Bad idea before the Feast of Stephen.
But your ignorance amuses me, please continue.
-
Bad idea before the Feast of Stephen.
Yeah, don't want to miss out on that free money!
-
You would like this guy Zoomie.

Do not recommend.

BR makes some nice designs, but why should I build what people are giving away? I've had some many offers of free boats that if I strung them together and anchored them in the Chesapeake Bay I could retire on the liveaboard rentals and water taxi service. I got an email this morning about a 55' houseboat already wired for 120v power and two bedrooms. WTF am I supposed to do with that? Someone actually suggested I find a deepwater creek and use some of them to shelter the homeless.
Right. Floating crackhouses, I'd do that...
EDIT:
PS: That's a power boat. Any mentally challenged simian can read a GPS, push a lever and turn a wheel. Riding the wind across the open ocean takes skill and instinct.
-
awesome, I'll go
You'll GO?
Or you're already THERE? lol
Welcome to L-G ~ i noticed that this is your first post. ;)
-
Heh.

Why don't you have an "outlet" down in Rockport? Cripes, dude, you're sitting on a flippin' goldmine! Dear AND i hold CDL's, and on weekends, could help with transport, but we'd need rented tractors...
Something to think about, perhaps.
i could actually introduce you to a major dude in ships ~ a friend of my son's ~ in Austin. Perhaps, you could do some sort of deal with him?
p.s. MY pay for this? A kiss. Just a kiss. Oh. And a huggie-buggie-boo! lol

No one has any money to spend on sailboats, Fyre. Even in an economically bulletproof state like Maryland. If I had room and money to store them all I'd hold them until after the recession (if that time ever comes) and refit them one a month and never have to work a straight job again. But I don't. I have one in the driveway, one in the street, one in the backyard and 4 in southern MD, one of which I have already secured title.
This just isn't the time.

{mumble, mumble... PUSSY!}
Okay, well i'll talk to him, 'cuz HIS specialty is power boats, but lots of folks are more interested in sailing than powering.
Don't just give it up, A. There IS a way.
Hey! Where there's a wEnder, there's a way! rofl
-
I don't do power boats. And most powerboaters don't do sailboats.
-

THAT's just IT, dude!!! Powerboaters are "into" something new. Folks WITH money don't seem to be able to spend it fast enough.
Kick back, dude, neh?
We'll see...
i might get you down here SO much sooner than you expected... rofl
For my kiss!
-
Listen up, A:

Anyway.... how do you fix the gel coat on a sailboat. I need to fix my ball chair.
-
I explained that one already.
-
WHERE?! Because I hate looking through all the sailboat threads. I know I asked, but I looked for the reply already... fuuuccck. I don't have anything else to do at work I guess.

try the search?
Oh, mang! Don't be a PUSSY! A "real mang" would read each thread, trying to remember which one the question and answer occurred in.
Sheesh... rofl

Ian told me there's a castle we can go visit. I really, really want to go and visit this castle and I hope it has a good bar.
I'd like to add authentic greek food to my list of selfish wants for this trip. want.
-
HA. I wish I knew if you were taking the piss ( about the castle ) if its what im thinking of ( starts with a K, or used to anyways (no full spoiler here)) ive been there. and HAHAHA.
-
Ian just said it was a castle. If it's ghey we can skip it and go straight to the bar.
I'm a nice guy because I'm flexible
-
I was 10 last time I saw the place. bak then it used to be in the midle of nowhere. It's problay in the midle of a suburb now. Either way im sure Ian knows what hes doing.
-
Kryal Castle is still in the middle of nowhere... I dunno if they still do the medievel stuff like whipping the wicked wench and throw rotten fruit at the dude in the stocks... I went there in the late 1970's and it was awesome! I think I'll have to do some research, or else its Soverign Hill for Nick.
We'll go to Stalictites this time Nick, the greek food there is grouse...
-
I'm going to run 5 miles each morning in anticipation of the calorie intake to come.
-
I got pics of the wench and of myself in the stocks ha. and I was 8 not 10. ah memories. The whipping was hardcore for an 8 year old.
-
