I'm only two episodes in, but so far so good. Anyone else watch?
-
I liked it.
I couldnt watch The Nanny the first time it was on tv, and I cant watch it now.
-
First thought was the RHCP.
-
This seems like the kind of show Channel Four would put on at about 11pm on a Friday night.*
*my understanding of Channel Four and their programming trends is only good as of 1993.
-
Isnt there a 3rd series now?
I dunno, I saw a billboard in New Jersey, so that could have easily been last years...
-
In Jerssey ? It could of been a promo for the 1st series.
-
I've watched it all the way through. I think it's pretty funny.
-
Are you saying it got canned ?
I think I have only seen to the mid point of season 2.
-
Season 3 is up and running...
-
...and hilarious!
-
The show is sick dark humor full of sex and drugs.
It's right up my alley.

<Reserved for Dave>

I watched a little of it off and on last season, but it came on opposite something on HBO that I was watching so I didn't get to see a lot of it. I've been watching it this season, though because fuck "Curb Your Enthusiasm". I just don't like that show.
Californication is funny, though. "Are you sexually harassing me? Because if you are, I'm going to have to report you.... for giving me a boner."

Yeah, that was a pretty fucking nice opening scene. She has some great tits.
-
Man, this week's episodes of both Dexter and Californication were EXCELLENT. Intense as fuck and hilarious, respectively.
-
I haven't watched a single episode of this, should I?
Should I start at the beginning or at some juicy point in the middle?
And what's it about btw?
-
Start at the beginning of season 3, that's where I started anyway.
-
Dexter HAS to be from the start.
-
Well, I guess I can't disagree, not having seen it from the start, but I didn't even get to see the beginning of this season, let alone the previous ones, and I'm really enjoying it.
-
Yoiu don't HAVE to see Dexter from the beginning, since the seasons are fairly independent other than small details in the storyline, but you'll appreciate the characters a lot more, especially Dexter himself, if you watch the whole series.
I just wish they hadn't killed off Doakes. his acting was horrible, but he was still a badass. He needs his own spinoff that's just him sneaking up on criminals and saying "Suprise, muthafucka."
-
Californication is a show I've watched from the start, but compared to other shows, the seasons do actually have a pretty huge divorce of character arc and storyline and I think all 3 stand alone pretty well independently.
-
Ok watched an episode of each this morning, Dexter S4E1 S3E1 Californication.
Dexter looks pretty interesting, probably watch it again, Californication, meh, never been a big fan of Ducovny but he's alright I suppose. I really liked a couple of his movies but I hated X Files.
-
I despised X-Files, but love this. Plus it's basically him playing himself, no?
-
I wanna see an episode where Tea Leoni appears...
-
She, Sean Astin, Carrot Top and I share a birthday. FML.
-
I watched all of season one on Dexter yesterday. Whoever said it should be watched from the start was correct. The individual episodes are self contained but the deal with the Ice Truck Murderer, well to understand anything about what's going on there requires watching it in sequence.
-
Holy fucking shit, this Dexter S4 finale, holy fucking shit I am freaking out here.
-
No spoliers... please.
-
No spoilers here but MAN SERIOUSLY HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT THE FUCK WHOA AND WOW FOR GOOD MEASURE!!!!!!!!
Californication too. Both had me choked up like a little bitch.

NO SHIT. I wanted to cry at the end of both of them.
YEAH I SAID IT.
-
Californication was pretty rough ending there. But they have to end every season with real intense drama in order to have freedom to write whatever they want for the following season and then tie it together when they figure it out.
-
True. And the Dexter ending?
-
I've never seen an episode of Dexter. I'm sure I would like it but just haven't ever gotten my hands on it.
-
You really should.

Hulu !
-
Looks like Hulu has dumped most of the Dexter episodes. Weird I watched the entire series from S1E1 on there.

Great, a show I like and have actually been BUYING on dvd and the star is gonna kick it. This is what I get.
-
Nah from what I hear he's pretty well on top of it and is likely gonna be fine. What disturbed me a little was finding out he's married to his sister.
-
Also I'd like to point out that TV viewing is about to really fucking suck, what with Californication and Dexter finished, and only 3 more goddamn meaningful football games to go. >:(
-
Yeah I may have to get Californication. I just finished season 2 of Dexter last night and am about to run out and spend my emergecy mad money on season 3 and some supermarket sushi. I'll order season 4 this weekend. Maybe. But I went to look for pictures of Rita's feet after Dexter was massaging them during season 1 and I accidentally found out what happened to her. Perversion is a hazard.
-
Shhhh!
-
It's ok Si, everyone knows I like feet.
-
Fuck, now I have to watch these two AND The Big Bang Theory?
-
I never got into Dexter... I dunno, the pace was too slow or something...
think that says more about me than it should.
-
Nah.
-
It's ok Mosh, everyone knows you have the attention span of a gnat.
