Title: We regret to inform you that we are unable to approve your application
Post by: underclass on April 11, 2009, 10:21:10 PM
I just got rejected applying for a credit card

I was applying to convert my existing card to one that gets air miles. The only change would have been a small fee increase. what the hell

Citi proving itself to be more fucked up than everyone had thought. I should be worried about this, I bought Citi shares two weeks ago

Credit is tighter than fresh inmate asshole these days.  It doesn't surprise me that they are even denying current customers.

As a matter of fact, many are lowering limits and increasing rates.

And if you don't like it, you can fuck right off.

I'd argue against being worried?
You decrease the available credit to also decrease the risk.
Have you considered that your credit score might not be very good, due to having a bunch of mortgages for houses and such?

I'm thinking Citi is conserving cash... but I'm also thinking Citi in Japan isnt talking to Nicks bank in NZ about his credit rating.

And his credit score would only be questionable if he'd been late with payments or defaulted. I'm guessing Nicks bank in NZ would have picked that up, considering I work for the parent and having a fairly solid understanding of the processes.

I'd be keeping an eye on that investment, conserving cash is a sign of trouble.

it doubled immediately so I told him (Father) to sell and see what the earnings report brings since they're owned in his name. Bet he doesn't do it on time

I'm just saying...  over a year ago, we started changing our credit rules.  it wasn't about keeping cash on-hand for us, it was just about reducing our portfolio's risk.

I've never owned a credit card in my life.  I'm a cash only kind of girl.

Yeah, I've done this too.

My advice: Get a fucking credit card and just use it for little, routine shit. Paying a few bills, subscriptions, whatever.

Having no credit record can bite you in the ass.

But I follow your joke, bro ...

yeah, but I dont program...

I don't program any longer either though I did once write several thousand lines of code for a trunk telephone switching network which is still in use. But I just got this in an email

"... to let you know that SAIC will be sending a letter of commendation for extraordinary engineering expertise that significantly contributes toward the success of the Patriot RTOS system, and that your engineering and circuit design services are exceptional."

The shit works perfectly but the stupid fucks now want a full redesign? It's a fucking control console I mean how many fucking ways can they want it done?

here (http://www.saic.com/products/simulation/rtos/rtos.pdf) btw

Here is a view of the functional system (sans advertising) that I already built for them.

I designed everything you see here including the special function keyboard with joystick.

That's a pretty cool looking system, except the SAIC thing of course.

I think your keyboard is missing some keys.

Here's what a keyboard is supposed to look like!  ;)

But seriously, that's pretty neat.  I can't actually point to anything I've done, because it's all middleware or lower.

So does it only play Tempest (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempest_%28arcade_game%29), or are there other games available too?

I think the new version may do Space Invaders, but don't hold me to that.

Some people would say u should apply in someone else's name, and if nec, claim u were just "borrowing" the money.

ID fraud is the biggest bullshit going.Usually its not the person thats actually the party that should pick up the tab, but the card company.
Its another blag, like bank charges were in places like Britain.
They all want the 100 and whatever GBP insurance policy money.

2001 was one of the best come-from-behind film for me ever. On first viewing I was left completely nonplussed. I didn't even think about the film for like 3 years. The next time I thought about it I realized that it was one of the best things I've ever seen. I'm all about the film now.

Our credit is horrible ~ we had to declare bankruptcy in late 2000 'cuz of the Owner/Operator thing, fuel prices, lack of loads, blah, blah, blah.

One of the FIRST cc card companies that offered us a "real" credit card was Citi, which says to me that they were into taking risks, even way back when, and may be trying to pull back, hoping late is better than never
