You can't train the smart dogs ~ Chow Chow, as an example.  We've had several, and they do what THEY want to do.

What's funny?  Those are the very dogs that are rated "stupid," 'cuz they have a mind of their own...  Go figure.

You have to know what the dog's natural instincts are:  herder; racer; scent-er; etc. and employ them in the manner that they were BRED to function.  People want dogs, like Afghans, that need TONS of room to roam, and they want to scrunch them into an apartment and expect them to be happy.  That really doesn't work...

That is fucking disgusting. I can't get my head around stealing and eating other people's pets. You should have stolen and cooked her child to teach her a lesson.

i was walking my dog this evening, when two unleashed dogs came chasing after Arthur.  He ran all the way home.

His feet got all torn up, and he had to go to the hospital.  He has to be drugged for pain over the next week while he heals.  There's blood all over my porch, and I'm out $250.

I went by the people's house afterwards, and they were all "oh, yeah, your dog ran away from you."  absolutely no interest inhis well-being.  Also, no interest in leashing their dogs going forward, since they were just hangung out in the garage.

Fuck personal responsibility, then.

People will not stop being a dick to their neighbors, if anything the problem is just going to worsen.  It is unfortunate that you sometimes have to punish the pet for the owner being the one who has to be punished, but you don't go to jail for the rest of your life for killing dogs... you do for killing people.

I don't like Pit Bull's, they scare me. I partially accept the argument that these dogs are generally trained to be aggressive by idiot owners, but there's no shortage of idiots so I'd like these dogs to be taken off the market.

I'm afraid of pit bulls as well.  Almost every person living in my new neighborhood has a dog and a bunch of them are pitbulls.  Every single time I walk by a house with a pit bull, they bark at me and I cringe in fear.

You are in more danger from a mastiff, german shepherd, doberman, dogo argentine, akita, or about a hundred other breeds.
