Just damn... How low was I in the draft?

Re: fantasy football anyone? Reply #33 on: September 06, 2009, 01:26:02 PM
I dunno... I don't even really know how it figures out draft order, to be honest.

I saw my squad and let me just say this... TRADES TRADES TRADES.

Re: fantasy football anyone? Reply #35 on: September 07, 2009, 12:24:55 PM
Pretty convenient to be offered a trade for a guy I was going to trade anyway, since his bye date lines up with my main QB's.

I wish I had spent some more time ranking guys in the mid-range.  I changed some rankings near the top, but am not really pleased with the guys I ended up with at the back-up level.

this is all french to me, so I'l gonna roll with whoever I drafted and beat you all

Shit. Mine too. Still, I'd rather have Cutler than Eli anyway. Fuck the Giants.

How do the Ravens manage to let KC stay in that game?  Over 500 total yards, give up less than 200...  The game easily could've been 40+ to 7.

Jake Delhomme looks awful.  He followed up that disaster in the playoffs with a 4-int game today.

I have to say my team knocked it out the fucking box this week! I wonder how long this will last?

Re: fantasy football anyone? Reply #40 on: October 07, 2009, 09:38:06 PM
I just shook my team the fuck up. Ugh. I'm sucking!

Interesting little scenario tonight. Going into this week, I was at 6-7, second in my division behind my friend Jamaal, who's also 6-7, but who beat me head-to-head. I easily won my game this week, and will be 7-7 as of tomorrow. Jamaal is currently tied 92-92 with Nick. Nick has Frank Gore tonight, Jamaal has Vernon Davis. So I'd really like the Niners to run all over the Cards tonight! Go Nick!

I'm doing quite well.

Frank Gore came through. Cheers, Nick, I'm in the playoffs!

Now I can get eliminated in the first round with dignity.

I made the playoffs, but likely will be one and out.

If I had been serious about winning, I would've needed to spend some more time with player rankings up front.  Some of the guys I ended up with were obviously not going to perform - Darren McFadden, for example.

I like that we have 3 of 4 playoff teams (this board, I mean).

I've been tinkering with the lineup all year.

Re: fantasy football anyone? Reply #52 on: December 20, 2009, 06:55:56 PM
I'm down 99-92 to Daddy right now. This is much, much closer than I thought it would be. Maybe the fact that my team played the hardest schedule in the league hid that they're pretty good.

BTW, does anyone else like to imagine their team having meetings and stuff? I bet it really irks Jay Cutler that he's been riding the bench most of the season, and P-Riv of all people has been starting. Also, I feel like Brandon Jacobs is the social outcast on my team, but that may just be cuz I hate the fucking Giants and resent not being able to drop his underachieving ass.

I took 3rd place in the yahoo pub league I joined late.  Not a bad showing.  I probably could have won it all if I hadn't picked the wrong starters week in week out.  I had Brees and Palmer and I always picked the one who didn't go off.  I had a lot of RBs get injured, shit happens though.
Pour the wine, hold the grind, quarter to nine, let's go.
