Loaded-Gun.com - I don't know what the hell they are talking about or why they are even there. They don't make serious points and they don't joke, but they still manage to make a lot of posts somehow.

Ok funny man, riddle me this. Which would your rather watch, a Mickey Mouse cartoon or a Roadrunner cartoon?

The wrong answer is the Mickey Mouse cartoon.

Inquiring minds want to know:
Would you rather...

...a Roadrunner episode where Wile E. Coyote finally catches and eats the fucker
or
...a Mickey episode where Pluto eats Mickey?

LOST OPPORTUNITY as all I have been thinking about.

MVL was on my stock watch-list back in April when it was in the mid to upper $20's.  Great day for investors. 25% pop.

You're too much of a speculator. If you must take more risk buy call options on good, undervalued companies. Not penny-stock junk.

True, nearly 100% of my portfolio is made up of pure speculative stock picks. (With the exception of McDonald's).

In fact last week I picked up 600 shares of a biotech company called Anadys Pharmaceuticals, because their work on a hepatitis-c drug is showing promise; at least in a first small-scale study. The stock is cheap, and if results from phase II testing prove just as promising, this could be a potential buyout candidate for a large pharmaceutical company or a partnership of some sort.

I love small-caps. This one popped over 18% today.

I understand the risk involved in speculating over investing, but no risk-no-reward is my philosophy.

Actually, Wile E. Coyote actually caught the roadrunner once.

Still didn't get to eat him, though.

Yeah, I'm bummed.

I don't like Marvel's characters for the most part, so I don't find it too distressing. They were talking about it on G4 the other night, though, and made a few good points:

Comic division probably won't change.

Marvel was paying for all of their own movies.  Thor is supposed to start filming in January and they may have been to cash poor to pay for it...

Iron Man, since it was pretty successful, with carry on.  Otherwise, we'll have to wait and see on the other movies in the queue.  Movies like Thor or the Avengers might get cancelled with Disney on board since there isn't a big built-in audience for them like there was for Spiderman.

Has anyone seen that existential one where the two little boys are discussing what it would be like if the Roadrunner was caught? Kinda blew my mind that they would ever actually address the issue.

I feel the same way about that fucking Tweety as well.

Nick, sometimes speculation pays off. See quote above. It took two years, but I was in a 2.50 and am out at 3.70.
