For dinner last night, I had macaroni w/ broccoli & chick peas and an apple (because I bought a fuckload at the farmer's market for really cheap two weeks ago and have been eating 1-2 a day to get rid of them).

Calories per serving for pasta: ~350
Cost per serving for pasta: ~$0.90

Total dinner cost was about $1.10

Then I drank a bottle of Mad Dog orange jubilee.  I haven't been drinking lately, but I was particularly grumpy after work, driving through west Baltimore after dinner, and felt like slumming it.  A bottle of MD 20/20 costs as much as a pretty healthy dinner for 3 nights in a row, which is another good reason not to drink in addition to the extra caloric load.

Make a casserole by layering the following in any order between corn tortillas:

 a pound of very lean ground beef, cooked and drained
a can of chipotle refried beans
a cup of frozen corn
a cup of shredded cheese of choice (colby-jack)
a half jar of salsa

And a side of rice.

Serves 4 four about $1.50 per serving.

other than dairy and hot peppers, i buy and eat whatever i want. i should probably change this because i get stomach pains quite often.

its weird thought b/c when i eat food at home i am usually ok. when i go out to eat at a restaurant my stomach will end up hurting about 7 out of 10 times.

We grilled last night. Pork ribs, Brats, and white asparagus on the grill, seasoned rice n' peas (red and black beans) and a mixed salad with a mint-yoghurt dressing on the side. Lots of everything, but we had several friends over to help us and we ate pretty much everything. Dee-lish.

I was in bed, freshly showered, merrily drunk, on clean sheets by midnight. Feeling awesome today.
