i probably have hsv 1, just like most of the people in the USA.

I don't think HSV 1 would be an STD.

I mean, I got it from my oldest daughter. When she was 10 months old she picked it up from another baby at daycare and then spread it to me. I was all embarassed and shit until the doctor explained it was kinda rare that I hadn't had it before age 18, and it isn't the same as hsv 2, which is spread through sexual contact.

So yeah. I'm clean. I mean, I'm not going down on anyone if I have a cold sore, because it can be spread. I'm also not going to kiss anyone or share a drink.

Statistics suggest that 4/5 of everyone here has had, has, or will have some form of HPV at some point. Does that count?

75%-80% chance, from what I've read. But that's for sexually active people. If she finds a partner and is only ever with that one person, it cuts down her chances significantly.

You guys realize that the vast majority of people with HPV will never know or show any sign of having it, right? Statistically, you both probably have had or have some strain of it, despite the fact that it's never and may never "show up", as it were. Hence why I say I probably have it, not that I do. I do not, and have never had genital (or any other) warts. And I'm no giant man-ho either. But I've been around enough to have narrowed my odds of never having encountered it down to not much.
