Box wine is good drinking.
There was a bring-your-own-bottle pizza joint I used to frequent in undergrad.
My friends and I would have box races between the two tables.
These events were pretty terrible for the waitstaff so we all tipped big.
They love and hated us simultaneously and with equal force.

box wine is so low that you can say you're above drinking it without looking at all snobbish

Box wine is good for one thing:   Getting sloshed.
