I guess I should throw Rancid and Green Day in there as bands that helped get me into punk. But really it was NOFX that got me super into it.

I didn't get into the older stuff till I ended up working with a guy who'd been in the SoCal punk scene in the early 80's. He'd played bass in a band with the Agnew brothers and was a living encyclopaedia of all things punk rock. He really opened my eyes to a whole shitload of kickass bands/sub-genres, and showed me that there was punk beyond skatepunk. Cheers, Kenny!

I lost a little respect for Avril when she did that song.
