is there a skin/site available for mobile devices? If not would you use one were I to make it? I get beer money from people for hooking up backends to their website these days so I can prob'ly put something together.

You would need Thrash to approve any changes to wireless.css and wireless.template.php  ... and they do need a tweek to get up to todays graphic standards (they are currently designed to work on the most basic of net phones... there A LOT of romm for improvement)


edit: but yes, you call the db to another site if Thrash were to allow it...  but I see a sniff for moblie device and a hack of what's already native to the board being more Thrash friendly.

Weird I have an itouch which is my sole use for forums, it works fine with LG. Other sites not so much but LG is one of the ones I have no probs with.

sure thing, as soon as I figure it out myself. It can't be too hard, there's a file on your server which picks up the browser type you are using and redirects to the appropriate page. So you just make a page for each mobile you want, and all other devices and PCs go to the main site.

The issues with all the different browsers with screen sizes with smartphones is worse than desktops... pisses me off to no end.

(ive been playing with phorum for the past year... still havent gotten my head around the smartphone issue... and phorum is as lite as is gets for full function boards.)

The browser on my phone(Samsung flip model) strips out all the pictures and non-essential characters. It allows me to read and post, but no access to pictures and embedded videos. That said I can play videos on YouTube but my screen is only 1 inch squared and the audio is overmodulated at the lowest volume setting above mute. I am looking at upgrading my phone in May. Any suggestions?
