For the first time ever I've grown a pretty much full on beard. I've been growing it for... fuck, I dunno. A while. A month and a bit, probably.

My question is this: do I have to wait ages for it to not seem this... wooly? I feel like I need to be sheared.

My boyfriend has recently been threatening to do this. It's so not my cup of tea. I really like a few days growth--sexy scruffy stubble that feels rough on my skin when he's nuzzling my neck or thighs... But more than that? Please no. He said he really wants to see what he looks like with a full on Grizzly Adams beard. I don't think I'll like it one bit. We'll see if he goes through with it.

Back to goatee/stache/sideburns/stubble as of yesterday. I came to the conclusion that instead of looking badass and wizard-like, it was just looking wooly and puffing out and making my head look really fucking round.

Yeah, I had been, and I always do anyway with my regularly grown facial hair. I think if I lived someplace cold I might be tempted to try it again, but for now I'm happy to feel the breeze on my face.

This has gotta be the longest I've had hair in a long time. I haven't had a shaved head since about June, and have even had a couple of proper haircuts. The fuck is wrong with me?

Not really, dude. The laziest haircut possible is to just keep cropping the shit down to a zero. Maintaining actual hair requires at least vague interest in keeping said hair however one wants. Bleh.

well, at least you have ability to grow a beard... me, best I can do is after a week or so is bear a vague resemblence to Shaggy from Scooby Doo.

Every time I've needed a haircut this year my regular barber has been off on a heroin binge. So I've just been clippering it down to 1/2". Did it last night, in fact. Oster clipper is good for hair and beard maintenance.
