i don't remember.. i think the timing was off.. you left Portland like a couple of days before i arrived or some shit.

All the hipsters in Baltimore seem to do a year in Portland during/post college, then move back. 

That, or they've moved here from Brooklyn because they have found they're unable to differentiate themselves from everyone else in NYC and want to try to be a big fish in a small pond.

13chemcials and I saw John Waters live in December! It was the best thing I've ever seen.

John is very nice and very personable.

I met John Waters in Penn station in Baltimore in 2005 when I was waiting to catch the train to JAX. That was cool.

My friend owns what John Waters claims is his favorite house in Baltimore - it's got this weird basement with pull up stairs that was a roller skating rink for neighborhood kids.

He goes to hipster dance parties with a posse of super skinny, heavily tattooed 20 something gay boys.

Baltimore isn't so big that you don't run into him once in a while. He's a get out and rub skin with the people kinda person. My son is currently a beer slinger at one of his regular stops.

Baltimore isn't really a insulate yourself sort of town anyway.  It's not like NYC, with doormen and private clubs.

if i ever run away back to the east coast it's going to be to Baltimore.

I like Baltimore, it's quite different to Batmania in so many ways. I dunno how I'd go living there though.

The only experience with Baltimore I can recall is the time in late 2000 when the band Meatjack played my town (Jackson, TN). Meatjack was a Baltimore band and were also on the soundtrack for Cecil B. Demented along with the Locusts.
