How convenient, since I just deactivated facebook a couple of weeks ago.

Right; they were just asking where you went too ...

I realized that:

• Most of my friends weren't posting anything anymore.
• Most people aren't interested in discussing or debating anything.
• Most of what people were posting is click-bait garbage.
• The few public people who did seem to be open to discussion would be inundated by the weird "shout out" culture. While I'm guilty of ad hominem arguments at times, that seems to be the starting point for everything for some people now.

So there I was, checking Facebook multiple times per day and getting nothing out of it. But I'm giving this garbage company tons of personal information, making it easy for them to track my activity around the internet and probably via GPS data from my phone...and they're only getting more invasive to "protect" everyone.

The easiest way to protect yourself from a useless company that is mining your data is to stop giving it to them.

LOL I shut down my site too for lack of participation. Now old posters are responding to this faerie looking site.
I thought interest in private message sites had seen it's day. EVERYBODY is on facebook, wtf.

I have a son, an estranged daughter, and an ex. But you know what I'm saying.

Yeah my daughter would be almost as old as you now. 43 anyway. Only met her once in 1980. She spit in my eye, LOL. Her mother had married another soldier and moved to Amerika something she said she would never do. I would have married her and brought her back with me but at the time she refused to move to or live in Amerika.

When I found out she was here I took a couple of road trips and visited her. Her situation was stable and I was doing okay at the time with a new son so we didn't get back together. Haven't heard from them since and have no contact info.

I think it was sort of a cultural thing, messing around with her mother and all, she was sitting on top of me at the time and I was laying down so it was pretty easy. She didn't know I was her father. Anyway yeah it's interesting to imagine what if. Sure if we had married we may have been divorced by now, but my life would have been entirely different and I would be a completely different person today. So yeah, interesting to think about. 

The other thing and this is not an excuse but when I left she wasn't showing at all and all I had was her word.

Well she said yes but there was no time to decide. Once back in the states I had no easy way to go back.

And in defense, another local girl I was with during a 30 day leave pulled the same scam. Except in this regard it was more to impress her female friends after I returned to duty. (and was complete bullshit)

Also my long time bitch and sons mother played a similar game early on by claiming she was on the pill. WooHoo go wild right? She actually had a prescription, but that doesn't excuse the machinations involved.
