i feel that in regards to our bodies and their recovery time, we should have kids sooner rather than later. at 28/29 i feel we may be right on the cusp of losing the ability to "bounce right back" after a pregnancy. i'm slightly concerned with both the stretchmark and the belly pooch issues. i've been doing a great gym routine lately though, in part because i want to be quite fit when i get pregnant so that i am less likely to become a slack-skinned and lumpy pigmommy like so many women become through sheer laziness and poor fitness schedule after having a baby.

I love my instrument too much to ever have a child. My career comes first! Take that, uterus!

I've been working out too but I just don't think you can bounce back.  Maybe it'd be better to be a little fat before you have a kid?  My mom is 5'3", weighed 110 when she got pregnant with me, was a gymnast *and she was 19*.  After she had my sister and I she got stretch marks pretty bad.  They are all white now but her stomach was never the same again.  Maybe I will just have a kid around 35 when I'm all busted and tore up anyway.

If I only I took pictures of the Great Sharpie Event of 2009. My son, who had just turned 3, grabbed two Sharpies while he was in our office/guestroom and let loose. Then, took off to the bathroom, then the living room. I was taking a dump in the bathroom across the way. He was well behaved and hadn't done anything of the sort before. It took a week and a gallon of rubbing alcohol it get some of it off. We were going to paint the house anyway...

CT: Speaking of my kid... We likely going to have to change daycare providers and finding someone who is trained in dealing with autistic/delayed children isn't very easy. We love our present provider to death. If she sees a cute pair of shoes for him, she'll buy them for him. She home cooks their meals, including spit roasted poultry. The kid eats better than I do. But his behavior is becoming a bit much for the other kids.

I know it might be redundant but can you get him an aide?

We are eagerly searching for an environment better suited for his state. That said, we are hoping for some tangible improvements after he begins occupational/speech therapy. We hope at least with a year of therapy to see at least holding the line and not regressing. He's an adorable kid, but he doesn't have the ability to know when enough is enough. He is almost four and shrieking does not make for good communication.

Most kids his age do that.  I saw a three year old do that the other day at Target.  My mom would've popped me, this woman tried to calmly persuade her kid to stop shrieking.

etsy is a bad model. If you meet with any success, their fee structure will start to really piss you off. I recommend Big Cartel. Flat, monthly fees, including a free option if you have 5 items or less for sale (size and color options do not count as additional items). You can also upgrade/downgrade through the flat fee options at will. Based on your stock or how much time you have to devote to the store.

I like the DIY format of Etsy.  I don't think I will be selling enough things to where I will get pissed off by the fee structure, but we will see!  Things piss me off easily so ask me again in two months.
