Yes, I had initially been very excited about it being just me.  Yes, I do feel like things are getting out of hand for what started as an Oceanic private party.

As for tricky coming with me, I liked the idea of having her along because at the least she and I would be able to say to one another "oh, this is not like it is in the United States!" and feel comforted.  With you there, I'll say "oh, this is not..." and you'll tell me to shut the fuck up, punch me in the face, and then hop on the back of some Japanese salaryman and ride him like a horse to the next attraction.   

The more people that come along, the more I see the opportunity for this to turn into a travelling circus.  And I usually like my vacations to not be insane.

How do you know how I am on a trip, you've never been on one with me.  I find it very annoying that you assume things about me.  I could assume things about you, like you will probably have a heart attack walking up some stairs since you are over weight, but I'm not a mean bitch and I try to be your friend and not make you feel bad about it.

On Friday I went to a Japanese restaurant and ordered some hot sake with my sushi. I could only drink about 2 little cups of it before I determined I still don't like sake. Not good!

at the mandarin oriental hotel boston i was asking our bartender about sake, and told him i've never cared for warm or hot sake. he said that places warm sake because it's not great sake, and heating it masks its foulness. he swore only by "high quality chilled sake".

If memory serves, according to Nick, each sake brewery has different temperature recommendations.

I've liked every sake I've tried.

I tried it once.  It was tolerable for its LACK of taste actually.

on the bottle it'll have a recommended temperature. I tend to like it chilled, the hot stuff is fun to drink with cold dishes though, like sushi or cold soba

Yeah, I don't really mind it either way, but warm/hot sake is great with sashimi.

Mmmm....I really want sushi right now.  Eel rolls, actually.

I could go for some wild salmon sashimi.
