For them-none
While the C-section went perfectly for me, I was rushed to the ER four days later (12 hours after I was discharged) feeling like I was going to die. When I. Arrived, my BP was 199/100. I had post-partum eclampsia. I was later told that if I hadn't heard the babies crying (that woke me up. I got up from bed and it felt like my body was being crushed from the inside. Creepiest feeling ever), I would have had a seizure or stroke and if I didn't die from that, I would have died in a few days.
The eclampsia sent me back to the hospital for 7 days. As much as I bitch about my mother-in-law, she really stepped up. She took care of J&F in their first few days out of the hospital. Zach got to be a doting new father and didn't change one meconium-filled diaper. My oldest split the time between home, my in-laws, my mom's, and her dad's place. My sister in law took them for a night and has a wonderful picture of a makeshift "crib" where they are all cuddled up in large, shallow rubbermaid storage box (like the kind you store under the bed- but no lid). She has 3 kids of her own but is unable to have more, so her and my brother in law were like "ooooh babies! Yay!". My MIL brought Zach and the babies to the hospital every day and I got to spend about 5 hours a day with them. I also spent a lot of time making a beaded necklace for my SIL and MIL as a thank-you.
I felt like shit after coming home, but figured it was because I was recovering from a c-section and near-death. About 4 weeks after being home, I developed a weird lump in my armpit. It started getting big and sore. I went to my doctor who then sent me to another doctor who said it was an infection and he had to take a sample for lab work. He gave me some antibiotecs. It was Friday. On Sunday morning he called me and said I had MRSA and needed tot go to Walgreens to get a different antibiotec. I was given Cipro. Cipro is nasty, but it cleared up everything. I'm pretty sure I got the MRSA from the second hospital stay. My IV was in my right arm,and the boils started in my right armpit. I was also placed on a "general floor" which had patients recovering from any number of problems.
J&F are now 3. J is 3'3.5 and F is 3'3. He weighs about 33lbs while She weighs 32lbs. He insists that he is "big" while his sister is "little". They are both very healthy and show no signs of kidney problems (Zach's kidneys started fucking up when he was 8 months old, so we like to keep an eye on that).
As for me, I scrub down my body with Hibaclens every time I shave. Cause the last thing I need is the MRSA to reappear.
Ok.. sorry for rambling on what should be a pic thread. I'm getting all reminencent today because it is my oldest's birthday. She is now 13.
