I'm not a fan of it, but katie once suggested that I try it panko breaded and fried. I think I'll have to give that a shot.

I doubt it can fail. You could panko-bread and fry cardboard and it would be delicious.

and i'm sure cardboard has a higher positive-to-negative nutritional value ratio than hormone-fed chickens.

I'd make my favorite party dish but dead hookers are getting harder to find, especially while they are still fresh.

So... Luke having another sausage party? Figures. PM me your email so you can get on the D-rad list.

Thanks for reminding me!

Krsna, I can also make beer brats.  Zoomie liked them.
Like yours.  Only different.

Krsna, I wouldnt call it VERY lactose intolerant, I'd call it HILARIOUSLY LACTOSE INTOLERANT.

If we eat this buttermilk stuff we'll be fighting for the bathroom and seeing who craps or vomits first!
Now that I'm thinking about it, this seems like a challenge! If you dare me enough, I'll do it. In fact, throw a free milkshake on top and I'll totally do it. Just keep your bathroom and a bucket open.

WHO WANTS TO MAKE OUT NOW? IM SO SEXXXY.

On Soy, Soy is SO BAD FOR YOU if you have an estrogen deficiency. Soy mimics estrogen and therefore your body slows down the production thus nullifying any meds you're taking (I learned this the hard way). Avoid if you have this issue, or you're over 45. So YES Chicken stuffed with hormones is far more healthier (for me and others in my situation) than soy products, and higher on the DELICIOUS scale.

... though I love soy and indulge in it here and there (LOVE tofu.)

Re: I'm betty fucking crocker Reply #82 on: May 21, 2009, 09:34:28 AM
Beer brats are yummy. Free range organic chicken is fucking delicious.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and link to this article about soy products and how bad they are for you. Some of the reasons soy is bad for you are:

  • Phytoestrogens: (isoflavones) genistein and daidzein, which mimic and sometimes block the hormone estrogen
  • Phytates: which block the body's uptake of minerals
  • Enzyme Inhibitors: which hinder protein digestion
  • Haemaggluttin: which causes red blood cells to clump together and inhibits oxygen take-up and growth.

Quote
Further more, most soybeans are grown on farms that use toxic pesticides and herbicides, and many are from genetically engineered plants. When you consider that two-thirds of all manufactured food products contain some form of soy, it becomes clear just how many Americans are consuming products, whose long-term effects are completely unknown.

The whole article is pretty short, but is packed with info (completely biased against soy). I'm glad I read it however, because I had no idea how potentially harmful soy based baby formula is.

I'll close this post with one of my favorite quotes, attributed to many people.

Is rice or almond milk a better option than soy? I have heard before that soy can be bad for the estrogen that it contains.

Re: I'm betty fucking crocker Reply #86 on: May 21, 2009, 10:51:05 AM
all baby formula is potentially risky.

I suppose it is, but consider this quote from the article concerning soy.

Quote
Soy is particularly problematic for infants, and soy infant formulas should be avoided. Why? Based on figures from the Swiss Federal Health Service, it has been estimated that infants who are fed soy formula exclusively receive five birth control pills worth of estrogen every day.

The studies that supposedly prove that infants on soy formula develop normally consider only height, weight and other measurements of growth as measured in infancy and early childhood. Many of the negative effects don't become obvious until puberty. Think about that next time you walk through the locker room at the gym.

Pediatricians are reporting more and more cases of emasculated boys reaching puberty with breasts and tiny penises. Undescended testicles are also far more common than they were in the past.

I woldn't worry too much about it, unless you're planning on drinking like a quart a day.
