yeah yeah, its bad! I know. One room at a time. So far I've done:

Siding, Windows, Doors, Studio, Studio Bathroom, Upper Bathroom, Master Bedroom, Parlor.

Next is Kitchen, Hallway, Office/Guest Room and THEN garage into another studio.

Can you put in a hanging cat cage for next time I come to stay.

we recently had our kitchen renovated. custom cabinets and all new stainless steel appliances. right down to the toaster and coffee maker. a nice peninsula, prep sink, stove top separate from the in-wall oven. it's great. i hope yours makes food making easier and more enjoyable.

A good kitchen is essential. It'll be the focal point of my house, whenever I buy/build one.

I helped retile the kitchen at my grandparents' old house. They'd lived in the area as children prior to existence of the house they later bought and when we took up the tiles there were old newspapers underneath from the town at the time the house was built. There was a newspaper article that mentioned my grandmother and my great aunt by name, detailing a debutante ball they had attended as young girls.

Then when my parents rebuilt a wall of the house I grew up in, they found a bottle of wine from the 60s that had been entombed since the house was built. Still potable.

not yet - but my house was built in the 70s so i dont suppose anything cool might come out of the walls. When i redid the studio i wrote on the foundation a ton of things. Who I was, what I did, what year it was, what was happening... ect. I figured someone would love that down the line.

I found 2 cans of soft drink in the wall spaces of my house. I can date when they were done by the kind of cans they were and by the measurments printed on the label.

The cans were made of steel, and had fl oz's, meaning that the work was done pre 1974. Metric was introduced in Oz is 74, and settl cans were phased out by the late 70's.
