Does this Benghazi shit piss anybody else off? And what's with all the Navy Seals dropping like flies?
Plus we have an American POW thatnobody is looking for. WTF?
-
Been watching the fox network eh?
-
Hey don't you know all our boys are "dumb, stupid animals to be used" as pawns for foreign policy.?
Kissinger paraphrase.

Ha. Fox News. No, right now I don't have television, I see things on Facebook, then look them up online. It looks like Fox is the only station concerned about the attacks and the coverups. The most transparent govt ever! Whoever believed that would happen is fucking stupid! I was always taught to never trust a politician. Thank you Mom and Dad!
-
... or a clergyman
-
Haha, yeah, that too, but we're not Catholic, so no worries there! I couldn't believe all the people who fell for Obama hook line and sinker! Stop drinking the fucking koolaid!! They HAVE to impeach him. Too bad we don't have journalists like we had when Nixon was POTUS. Those guys were relentless.
-
Yeah but the people BEHIND Nixon have been working feverishly to assure that never happens again.
-
I think we are doomed. I'm thinking about prepping. With a bug out bag and everything. Wolverines style!
-
You're late to the party.
-
Too bad we don't have journalists like we had when Nixon was POTUS. Those guys were relentless.
You've got to be kidding.
-
Not kidding. Have you ever read "All the President's Men?"
-
Woodward and Bernstein embellished.
Watergate was about White House Counsel John Dean's wife Maureen running hookers to the DNC and it doesn't matter whether Nixon knew or not.

Not to sound like a Neo-con sock puppet, but Obama does some sneaky shit that should make some liberals' blood boil.
Namely, his choice of Penny Pritzker as Secretary of Commerce. According to a 2008 article in the Wall Street Journal (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121660089138069207.html?mod=hps_us_editors_picks), ole Penny had a 50% stake in Superior bank, an Illinois bank which tanked and wound up taking people's savings along with it. Any savings that weren't insured by the FDIC (up to $100,000) was lost. Although Penny claimed to pay restitution for the loss, she blamed the problems on "changes in accounting practices, auditing failures, reversals in regulatory positions and general economic conditions." Really? We need someone overseeing America's economic development that blames "general economic conditions" for a defaulting business? Who could've seen buying securitized subprime mortgages as a potentially dangerous, misfit fiscal decision?
Nominating this woman is antithetical to Obama's hardline stance on risky banking practices. It shows me that he is more concerned about deregulating banking policy now that the economy seems to be making some improvements.
Obama's career is mimicking Clinton's in the way that Clinton deregulated a shitload of financial regulations (a snowball that started under Reagan) and let Alan Greenspan and his troupe of vampiric investment bankers gamble with Americans' money.
Pritzker's nomination is another symbolic gesture that says a hearty "fuck you" to anyone that's not a part of the elite business class.
BTW, a majority of you L-Gers have your ear to the rail but can't see the fuckin' train coming at you. Stop paying attention to the flashing headlines and read the business section of the damn newspaper. A sweeping majority of decisions made in the government that affect people in this country and the rest of the world deal with economic policy. For that matter, fuck the white noise about Benghazi and the "thin red line" shit-talk about Syria, the real shit is going down on the business page.

Well versed.

He's ruining our country. I don't understand how he got re-elected. He's a socialist community organizer. He doesn't have the qualifications to run a country. He doesn't listen to his advisors, except for that Jarrett lady. I hate Obama and his wife as much as they hate America. He's down in Mexico the other day bad mouthing us, his wife does the same in other countries. It freakin pisses me off!
Another good book is "The Amateur". He's pissed off the Kennedys, his wife pissed off Oprah and Bill Clinton hates him. He's an amateur.
-
Definitely something to think about ....
-
The deregulation snowball really started with Carter. Carter started the deregulation of transportation and which helped to give cover to Reagan.
No substantive policy has changed from president to president for decades. Everyone is on board with deregulation, drug wars continue unabated, consolidation of executive power continues, etc.
Reagan is Bush is Clinton is Bush is Obama is whomever is next in line... doesn't really matter.
-
He's ruining our country. I don't understand how he got re-elected. He's a socialist community organizer. He doesn't have the qualifications to run a country.
Actually, per the U.S. constitution, he does. All you have to be is 35 and a natural born citizen (which he is. That "birther" crap, talk about drinking the kool-aid).
Secondly, you need to re-check the definition of "socialism" if you think Obama's policies approAch anything close to it.
And last, the Republican's, in their foaming at the mouth, tend to gloss over the fact that they cut they security budget for the embassy.
http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/10/rep-chaffetz-says-he-absolutely-cut-funding-for-embassy-security/ (http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/10/rep-chaffetz-says-he-absolutely-cut-funding-for-embassy-security/)
The President (regardless of who it is) has no direct control over the budget. He makes a budget request, but congress can approve or deny anything, just like they did.

Not to say that you don't have a right to your opinion, but you are making some sweeping generalizations. Sure, if I could correct the president on a couple of things it would be his celebrity status and the rich elites he caters to.
As far as bad mouthing America, I don't care. America's actions overseas hasn't had the best record diplomatically. I mean if you want to take into consideration CIA black sites for torturing terror suspects, drone assassinations, covert massacres of Afghan civilians, etc. All for what? So you can sit down on a comfy couch watching some ABC drama while the grease from a Double Whopper dribbles down your chin, staining the silk-screen stars and stripes navy blue t-shirt and get angry when someone criticizes the country you herald above any foreigner's life?
-
America has been a terrorist nation since the end of WWII.
Most of the unrest in the world since before most of you were born has been fomented by factions in the US.
-
My point is: if you love your country, you don't throw it under the bus in god damn Mexico. And you don't turn your back when Americans are being attacked by terrorists.

-
My point is: if you love your country, you don't throw it under the bus in god damn Mexico. And you don't turn your back when Americans are being attacked by terrorists.
My point: I don't intend to show national pride. Love of country creates a zealot, arrogant, groupthink mentality that is borderline fascism.
Mexico's problems have been a product of American intrusion. We've fucked their economy with NAFTA allowing American companies to set up maquiladora factories to ship products over the border duty-free and tariff-free while paying embarrassing, substandard wages (one-sixth of our minimum wage) to the majority female workers (see Juarez). Our loveable country has also supported previous dictatorships and contras south of Mexico's border spilling over into their southern border. Our immaculate country has also waged a war on drugs that shifted the cocaine emperor's power from Colombia to several cartels in Mexico along the border. When those dirty, stinky wetbacks try escaping from the violence or try seeking better wages across the border, our proud border patrol meets them with drug dogs and degrading strip searches. Our benign country shovels money to the Mexican government that in turn spends those resources NOT on stopping the drug trafficking but controlling the cash flow for its own profits.
Wow! What a magnificent sheet-wrap! And I've only mentioned one country that the U.S. has affected negatively!
If America was a person in your neighborhood, what do you think that person would act like based on their foreign policy?
-
Capitalism seeks profit. Prosperity may be a side effect of that, but it's not intrinsic to capitalism. You can have a capitalist society that is not prosperous, because some of the factors intrinsic to prosperity (e.g. health, safety, happiness) are to varying degrees wealth independent.
-
Karla_K, you've just plagiarized an entire essay from Henry Lamb.
I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with socialism as a fundamental economic tool: Workers are allowed to bargain for wages. Managers are limited in power. The symbolic system of ownership of companies is shifted from investors to the labor pool, allowing for a more driven workforce. Heads of companies, CEOs, and corporate bosses are no longer relevant, shifting power to the laborers, building identity and confidence in individuals.
Henry Lamb fails to realize that Karl Marx was referring to the Hegelian method of history. Socialism could go on for an indefinite period of time without a noticeable shift to communism; however, capitalism, as has been seen in the last decade, will continue to be incapable of sustaining a reasonable balance in the world: when great wealth is created, great poverty must also follow suit. This imbalance will also (as Marx and Engels predicted) destroy itself. People in great poverty will not live in dire straits indefinitely. Josef Schumpeter coined this historical shift as "creative destruction": out of the capitalist model, socialism will prevail.
-
It wasn't plagiarizm, I was sharing. Please don't think just because I hate Obama that I'm a republican! I think we need to throw out all the politicians and start over and no, I don't want the govt handling my health care. They shouldn't be telling me if I can have a abortion or not. They shouldn't tell me who I can marry and they definitely shouldn't be in charge of my money!
-
Do you guys remember James Carvell? Clinton's PR guy? Whenever people were all pissed off at Clinton, along comes Carvell and he would say such great things about Clinton. 100 percent team Clinton! I loved that guy. THAT'S how Obama should speak about our country. ESPECIALLY to other countries.
And I apologize for the cut and paste, I should have put the link, but I don't know about you all, but I am scarred from clicking links on this site! Haha. My bad.
-
I don't want the govt handling my health care. They shouldn't be telling me if I can have a abortion or not.
Once again, we are back to glittering generalities. Who's feeding you this rhetoric?
You do understand that state governments are regulating abortions, right? And it's usually at the behest of religious demographics.
They shouldn't tell me who I can marry
I definitely think you are over-reacting to propaganda in the media. No government has a right to tell you who you can marry (unless you are homosexual and live in certain states, you're trying to marry a relative, or you're trying to marry another species). It took a U.S. Supreme Court decision to overturn miscegenation laws in 1967 that barred blacks and whites and Asians and whites from marrying. The government does, however, enforce the legal rights you have with your partner, which is why divorces are extremely messy sometimes.
and they definitely shouldn't be in charge of my money!
Your income? pension? stocks? inheritance? You should be a bit more specific . . .
The only entities that have access to your money are: the federal government (through income taxes & the Federal Reserve), the state you reside in (through either state income tax/sales tax), local government (property taxes, etc.), banks (if you allow them to keep your money), your employer (who pays you), and most importantly yourself.
But, I assume you mean the federal government is in charge of your money? If you look back at some coal mining towns, as miners organized and fought against the major mining industry, the companies created their own monetary system, paying the miners with their own printed currency. Conveniently, the scrip the companies provided could only be used in company stores, and since you could only use their currency there, they could manipulate the prices of any product, including food. Thankfully for coal miners, that practice is gone.
It wasn't plagiarizm, I was sharing.
Sorry to accuse, I thought you were taking someone's content as your own.
-

The French Revolution is a perfect example..

I didn't assume you were, the that was just the easiest comparison. Superficial comparisons like that can, pretty much, be done with anything.

That's kind of contradictory. If that's the case, you should support covering up Benghazi to keep the U.S. from looking bad..

Maybe I should just hang around different people..

I'm a combat veteran, a gun owner, and I think a certain degree of socialism is a damned fine idea. Beats what America has been doing since 1945, no matter what color or party chucklefuck (thanks Johnny) was in the White House.

This is supposed to be AN TI - social .com Fuckers! ANTI. WTF?

Not according to the URL.
But then, some of us aren't even big fans of guns.
-
This is supposed to be AN TI - social .com Fuckers! ANTI. WTF?
This isn't suppose to be shit. It's an evolving process.
-
Lol u guys crack me up. We gotta talk about the guns though. How can you not like guns? My greatgreatgreat?uncle is Freaking John Browning. I just found that out a few years ago doing family history. I had always wondered.
-
Not more that 30 minutes ago I chased two pitbulls off my property and followed them home and told the bitch she needs to keep her dogs contained or I would shoot them.
And I would.
-
Oh and they just showed up at my door begging me not to shoot their dogs.
I'll give em a break but they better not abuse it.
-
When I was a kid the neighbors dogs got into our yard on 2 occasions and my dad filled their rear ends with a little birdshot. That taught them a lesson. These incidents were a quite a few years apart. The last time it happened the neghbor was a biker speed dealer and he didn't like his dog coming home full of lead. So we had astandoff with my dad, brother and biker all with guns. My mom called the 1 cop we had and he said he couldn't do anything until one of them fired a gun and that he needed to go to sleep cause he had to get up early. Much like Obama on Sept 11.
-
Are you fucking mental? Obama wasn't even a buzz word on 9/11 that shit was perpetrated by the bush's.
-
Those buildings were not taken down by terrorists they were taken down by the bush family, how can you not see that?
-
Are you fucking mental? Obama wasn't even a buzz word on 9/11 that shit was perpetrated by the bush's.
I think she was referring to Benghazi which occurred on 9/11/2012.
That being said, during Bush's administration there were 54 embassy attacks. Only 3 garnered hearings and, contrary to Bill O'Reilly, only 8 took place during the Iraq war.
-
I really don't get the obsession with Benghazi.
Generally my issue with Libya is the collaboration between the US/Europe/NATO and groups that under other circumstances would be called terrorists.
The Benghazi bombing would just seem to be blowback to me. US military action and economic coercion generally exposes the US to a lot of blowback and embassies are often on the receiving end. Temporary alliances with groups that normally strongly oppose you but with whom you briefly share a goal will only accelerate and increase the chances of blowback.
-
How can you not like guns?
I'm not american.
-
My obsession with Benghazi is 4 Americans were brought home in coffins. My heart goes out to their families. Then we find out they called for help, help was ready to go and they were told to stand down. And then the Pres went to bed. He shouldn't have gone to bed or to Vegas the next day.
Then the politicians try to tell us it was because of a you tube video. It was a demonstration. That is so disrespectful to the guys that died, and their families. And thats what Hicks is talking about when he testified. The video was a non issue in Libya.
And Obama flat out lied again yesterday when he said that he always said it was terrorism. And they were on all the talk shows saying it was because of the video for weeks after. And this was from the most transparent govt ever.
Its about character and honesty which our politicians have none.
-
4 Americans brought home in coffins?
Woopedy doo!
10,000-20,000 people died in Libya, thanks to European & American efforts in propping up an opposition in a civil war.

Give me a valid reason why anyone who is not wearing a uniform needs an Ar-15 and the debate ends here. I've been saying this since my friend Bob blew three toes off with a Daewoo Max-1 (Korea's carrier for the M-16A2 receiver) and no one can give me a good answer. (Except Cain, who is also a combat vet and collects them and hangs them on his wall).
FTR I legally own several firearms. Two handguns, two antiques and a hunting rifle. They are not combat arms. I dislike the term "assault weapon" because I could assault any of you with a 9mm Makarov, but I could kill ALL OF YOU with an AR-15 and one magazine.
"I want one" and "The Second Amendment says I can have one" are not valid answers.
-
AR-15s play to fantasies - zombie apocalypse, governmental collapse, etc. kind of fantasies. It's not a good explanation, but I think that's fundamentally what it is.
-
Ugggh! Really??? AR-15s protect us from our own government. And it's becomong clearer and clearer that we may need to use them soon. The 2nd ammendment protects our right to own any gun. Banning a certain gun would be like banning a certain religion in the first ammendment. Are you prepared to give up liberty? It's crazy talk. Sorry about your friend, but I've never shot myself and that shouldn't give you reason to think no one else should have guns. There was a cop in my area that accidentally shot himself in the ass with his own service revolver. Does that mean we should disarm all our police?
-
The second amendment does not protect the right to own any gun. The US Supreme Court has ruled as recently as 2008 that it is not an unlimited right. It's an entirely separate issue from banning a single religion and first amendment issues.
-
Ugggh! Really??? AR-15s protect us from our own government.
I don't see how owning an AR-15 is going to defend you from an M1 Abrams tank or a drone strike. If the government wants to get you, then they will get you--just ask the al-Alwaki family.
And it's becomong clearer and clearer that we may need to use them soon. The 2nd ammendment protects our right to own any gun. Banning a certain gun would be like banning a certain religion in the first ammendment.
Sure, right. You get as many people together as you need with guns to start your insurrection. Claim that you are an enemy combatant against the government; I'll bring flowers to your memorial.
I definitely don't see what gun advocates are so fussy about. The second amendment is not going to be overturned. There are limits in place, obviously, that were amended since the revolutionary war. You can't own a fully loaded fighter jet, a bomb of any sort, or a tank; technically speaking, these are all "arms". So the argument about banning a certain "arm" is irrelevant and moot. And if you think owning one of those is reasonable, then you might need your head checked.
Are you prepared to give up liberty? It's crazy talk.
Where was this gung-ho attitude when ole Bush was sneaking the PATRIOT Act through Congress?
Citizens have given up a shitload of liberty for a bit of security. Would you be willing to fend off an invading force without the military? Or how about absent regulations at meat packing plants? I'm sure people want to backpedal history to those days where you were lucky you didn't die from an infection in your bowels due to a foreign object in your bratwurst.
-
I would just like to know how someone shoots off three toes with one shot from one.
-
Hate the damn Patriot Act too. Little by little they whittle away at our liberties. We are like frogs in a pot of water and the water heats up a little more and we don't notice until it's boiling and too late to hop out. I think we should have automatic weapons and I don't need my head checked.
-
You can have automatic weapons.
There's a legal path if you wish to purchase one.
If you want one and don't care about legality, you can purchase one via the black market or you can build/adapt one yourself. The mechanisms required for fully automatic weapons aren't secret and gunsmithing isn't difficult - just requires a little commitment to learning how to work with metal.
Why anyone would want one is a different question.
A sustained firefight with a home invader or other criminal? Not likely.
A sustained firefight in some government insurrection/civil war fantasy? Even if you have automatic weapons and machine guns, well-trained fire teams, and can lay down suppressive fire what you don't have is the capability to call in air strikes. Air strikes >> small arms. If NATO wasn't providing air cover in Libya and assisting with air strikes against the Libyan government, then Libya is still under Qaddafi's control.
-
I would just like to know how someone shoots off three toes with one shot from one.
An AR-15 or a gun in general?
It'd be easy to do with a shot gun, in fact you could remove all your toes with one shot.
If AR-15:
It would depend on lots of things, size of your foot, where you shot it, are your toes close together (some people have some freakishly shaped feet).
I must be bored, I'm way over-analyzing this.
Sorry, move-along, nothing to see here..
-
How can you not like guns?
I'm not american.
That's not your passport says...
Ugggh! Really??? AR-15s protect us from our own government.
I dare anyone to shoot a government employee (of any level of government) and expect to stand behind "I was protecting myself from the Government" successfully. It won't happen.
(Except Cain, who is also a combat vet and collects them and hangs them on his wall).
I have used one of his rifles, good fun, but also kind of terrifying. I have no need for such a beast (also, I couldn't get one in Australia).
-
Sorry to break this to you but you are delightfully ignorant. An AR15 is a very poor defensive weapon. It is unwieldy, heavy and not particularly accurate on short notice. A 9mm handgun with a 13-15 round magazine is a much better choice.
As an offensive weapon, it is however an excellent choice for the nutjob who wants to kill a movie theater or your average man on the street trying to overcome microphallus by killing the entire kindergarten.
-
How can you not like guns?
I'm not american.
That's not your passport says...
Hush, you. The passport I use is red and gold.
-

Hey Karla, even if we could get enough loyalists well armed enough to fight the US mil to a stand still our positions would be wiped out by these.
http://dangerousprototypes.com/2013/05/18/nasa-centennial-challenge-to-test-civilian-droneaircraft-avoidance-systems/ (http://dangerousprototypes.com/2013/05/18/nasa-centennial-challenge-to-test-civilian-droneaircraft-avoidance-systems/)
Either operated by the Nazi CIA out of Langley or more likely operated remotely by Nazi Mossad operatives out of Israel where we wouldn't have a chance of being able to strike their operations centers. If we ever even came close to overthrowing the .gov here Israel would send massive forces to support their criminal Nazi cohorts in Washington. Resistance is a fucking hopeless pipe dream.
-
An elite unit of professional snipers targeting key government and industry leaders and their civilian masters is the only chance of shifting the direction of the country. An AR-15 or M4 is not up to the task, you need .50's for that. Which is the reason such pressure is being put on making them and their ammo illegal nation wide.
-
You would also need some high tech method of completely blinding military night and thermal vision optics over a wide area. Possibly even something that would destroy those systems as soon as they are brought online. Otherwise they would be able to detect the positions of our personnel from long range, even when concealed inside buildings.
You would also need a high tech method of defeating/jamming wide area Microwave weapons both non-lethal and the lethal variety. Otherwise they would simply stand back and flood the battle area with deadly millimeter wave radiation.

Um, DUH. What do you think tin foil is for?

When I used to rant about this shit over a decade ago I was branded a fucking kook, (Zoomie) but believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I personally redesigned the fire control panel for the Patriot missile batteries now being used world wide, in fact SAIC just got a large order for units to be shipped to japan. Too bad I don't get any residuals from that. There are also over 40 specialty keyboards I designed for the FAA currently in use nation wide at airport traffic control centers for several years now, and we just received an order for more of those that we didn't expect. The last thing I worked on was a redesign for a fuel rod control panel plus custom keyboard for nuclear power plants operated by NB Power Canada. I'm working on two projects right now, a custom keyboard for Rail Road operations and an unrelated domestic consumer product, if the consumer product pans out and sells well I will get residuals from that for life.
Impressive aren't I, yet I still live in squalor with a heard of cats I have trouble feeding and caring for and design this shit on a laptop that is 5 years old. I could use my way more powerful gaming desktop but old people tend to stick with what is comfortable.
-
Um, DUH. What do you think tin foil is for?
You're going to need more than a hat son.
-
I will probably get shit for this, but what if... the military was on our side? I would be pissed if I was a military guy/gal right now. Leaving men behind in Benghazi and then the prez making a marine hold an umbrella in dress uniform? I think they will be the first to revolt against this admin.
-
Soldiers are trained to do as told (I should say brain washed) without question. But yep, that is the only hope any form of revolution has a chance is if the MAJORITY of the US mil refuse to stand against the American public and actually join it.
-
We took off our cattle uniforms and burned them.
I still wear parts of mine, freaks em out.
-
Dude, I gave you shit but I never thought you were a kook. You're thinking of The Erics. It's no fun if we, as the only two veterans, agree. And anyway, I know where the embellishments and fear-mongering lie, just from where I used to work...
-
Aw shit you know I love you man. I tend to hyperbole on occasion, but that's just to get people to pay attention.
Now go read those books by Sutton I recommended 10 years ago.
to get you started

But be aware these online versions may not be in original condition.

I had a physics professor tell me 10+ years ago now that the US had particle weapons that could shoot down satellites (he claimed that he had worked on the project). I think its a fair assumption that the technology that has filtered out into active, public military use is at least 3-4 generations (if not more) behind some of the other technology available.
The notion of the military flipping is funny. So what if a huge portion of the military flips? The average grunt is trusted with what, 40-50 year old technology at this point?
And if the people in the military actually trusted with the good stuff were to use it against the government, you've got a military coup d'etat - not a grass roots rebellion for liberty. I'll take Obama, no matter how flawed he is, over anyone wearing a star.

Oh my god Si! You have no idea!! Everything that guy does irks me! Lol! He is so freaking arrogant!
I wanted to talk about that picture though. Thank you for posting it. Here's the thing about the umbrellas. First, Marines are warriors, not umbrella fucking stands! Second, It's a man. Real men dont hold umbrellas! I live in Washington state, I know this! Third, apparantly its against basic Marine training.
It just shows how arrogant and self centered the guy is. He emasculated the poor guys. It totally reeks of ignorance and disrespect. Its probably not really anything to get upset over, but in light of recent events, it just didnt help his image.
I have a question though because it's obvious the guys in the other pics aren't Marines, but are they even US soldiers?
-
You don't recognize army uniforms?
There is also a Marine barracks in DC at 8th and i. It's the oldest Marine Corps post in the US. Their duties, in addition to being light infantry, include guard and ceremonial duties for the president and security for other DC area facilities. It's a good, prestigious posting. They pick among the brightest, best Marines coming out of boot camp to serve there because of the nature of the duties. You can head down there and tell them they're not real warriors if you'd like.

Are you?
Do you have any clue what it means to be one?
-

This is what I was gonna say. I would be shocked if any of the soldiers, marines or not, felt emasculated or anything other than honoured to be chosen for that sort of task, regardless of president or their personal politics.

Incidentally, black berets were designated for US Army Rangers in the time periods those pictures were taken.
I really don't go in for military hero worship, but at least figure out what you're talking about before you vomit nonsense.
-
Andy the 2 army guys are wearing black berets.
Now during George H. W. Bush was in office, Army Rangers were the only ones that wore it.
Depending when the George W. Bush picture was taken, it could be the same case. It became standard army in Nov. of 2001.

I suppose these marines aren't doing their warrior specific duty of being bullet sponges for the enemy and instead march for the president and his guests.. Jeez, what's El Presidente trying to do collect all of these marines for his own personal amusement?! Gosh, I'm reeeeally pissed off now! . . . Garsh! Golly! Stop wasting warrior-time, Mr. Nobama!

If this was Germany and Hitler was still in power, you guys would all line up and bend over for him.

Well I at least am waiting for my daily pineapple up the ass.
Snap to fuckers.
-
Dude, I gave you shit but I never thought you were a kook. You're thinking of The Erics. It's no fun if we, as the only two veterans, agree. And anyway, I know where the embellishments and fear-mongering lie, just from where I used to work...
We are the only two vets here aren't we. That kinda sucks.
-
Another fucking clueless wannabe. Do us all a favor and sew your cunt shut so you don't pop out any more clueless wannabes. Marines are no more important than anyone else in uniform. If you don't believe it just ask one. Moron.

The average grunt is trusted with what, 40-50 year old technology at this point"
But sir the balance is important, if a majority were on our side the few would get fucked over and would not be able to implement their options.
-
Nobody is more important than anyone else. So sew yourown cunt shut. Tru, right after highschool I went to sign upand they wouldnt take me because I wear hearing aids. They said they would interfere with the equipment.
-
Yep they would.
I had a dream recently where I applied and was accepted back into the mil. I was kind of excited, At my age that is an obvious red flag,

If a majority were on the side of rebellion, you probably end up with a military coup, too... which to some degree seems to be the sort of fantasy right wingers are promoting these days, anyway.

We have a 2 trillion Watt Laser here in Ca, I bet that sucker could shoot up satellites.

Godwin's Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law)
That was interesting about Godwin's law, It's unusual that someone gets a law named after them while they are still alive.
But to be honest I brought up Nazi's quite a ways back in this thread and when I call Nazi it seldom has anything to do with Hitler or Germany.

Hahaha. I actually was wondering myself why I brought up Hitler. You guys would bend over for Obama and it would be an" honor."

Or horror, both are fun.

No, I just don't see a conspiracy around every corner..

Why do you suppose any "wingers" would feel this way?
Can it possibly be because our country is fucked?
A military coup is the only chance this country has.

I don't see conspiracies, just a lot of corruption. Somethings going to give. All great civilizations fall.
-
Um, DUH. What do you think tin foil is for?
LIKE!

I've heard tons of conspiracy theories over the years. I was extremely exposed to it through my teens in the nineties. I was an avid fan of X-files and damn near everything gray alienish or government shadow groups. Mind you, the Cold War fed into a shit-ton of American anxiety, but after Russia went bankrupt, the paranoia had to be directed somewhere else; a hole had to be filled. Thus, people in America had to distrust something: which was the US government. Look at its sheet-wrap during the Cold War: espionage, lies, coverups (e.g. - Iran-Contra), and various other shenanigans. Why would a common person trust an entity that promotes this ideal? Thus, conspiracy theorists created exaggerated stories to fill the void, digging through the Cold War archives to prove UFO coverups and secret echelon meetings in the south Pacific. I'd say I was too lazy to research anything thoroughly in the nineties and let the parade of unprovable theories lead the way. Conspiracy advocates rely on vague information channels to secure their reasons for believing in conspiracies. And no matter what, that diehard paranoia is usually incurable. One thing I learned in the military under a secret security clearance: The big bad government isn't always operating on all cylinders.

I think I've been scrolling too fast. I must have missed it.

Karla K - You must be a listener of a certain radio show that competes with Rush Limbaugh and wins because I recognize and share the thoughts and convictions of almost everything you just said. Almost, except specifically the uniform worship and the thought that they'd "flip sides". They're just men and women who have chosen to serve their country and having served, they see that the country they thought they were serving no longer exists. The vast majority of the military joined to fight for freedom but there are those that will follow any illegal order they're given without a thought. I've made it a point to make sure military (and police for that matter) are oathkeepers before I thank them for their service. I'll be damned if I thank someone for serving a man instead of his country.
Tru - I agree with nearly everything you said too, and I don't feel like scrolling down that far to find the exceptions lol
All you other socialists - STFU. Socialism brings failure and ruin everywhere it is implemented. I challenge you to find me one successful socialist nation.
Anyway, back on topic. The issue with Benghazi isn't that 4 Americans were killed. That shit happens on roadways worldwide and noone gives a flying rat's ass. The issue is with the president's order to all nearby forces to stand down and allow the atack to happen. One unit was an hour away by helicopter and there were fighters that were 4 hours away. THE ATTACK LASTED 8 FUCKING HOURS, and even if only the fighter jets responded, the ambassador would've survived. He wasn't killed until the 6th or 7th hour. I'll repeat: THE ISSUE IS THE STAND-DOWN, not the number of dead Americans. The theory is that the ambassador was going to blow the whistle on CIA gunrunning to Lybians and Syrians through the consulate but I haven't seen that confirmed. Because he's dead.
