I had posted about it, but feel like I need to start a thread about it.

I hung out with a couple transgendered friends recently. Let me preface by saying that these two are really cool people, funny, and incredibly smart. One is a math teacher and the other is a college student.

Anyways, somehow one of them ended up showing me some questionable pictures. I was all "WTF IS THAT??? IS THAT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE??!!??"

She told me about how when she got her testicles removed (she is on female hormones, and after a certain amount of time of being on them, you have to do this, or it can lead to side-effects), she wanted to keep them and do something with them. The doctor wouldn't let her take them home, though. So she asked another friend of hers (who I have met before) who was getting her testicles removed if she could ask the doctor to keep them. So the friend got them FedEx'd home, and my two friends and one more person went over to her house. She cooked them in a frying pan and the four of them ate them.

The pictures that she showed me were of the testicles in a frying pan, and one of her holding a piece of one a toothpick and about to eat it.

How do you feel about this story? Yawn inducing or really, really fucked up?

Well, I did watch that BME Pain Olympics video.  Eating surgically removed testicles is significantly less weird than chopping them off yourself.  Still pretty fuckin' weird, though.

Tulip has an acquaintance with an impulsive amputation disorder. She froze her own legs with dry ice and then chopped em off.

Folks say that that is part of the problem with so much violence on TV ~ it inures us to it, and perhaps they're right.  Most folks wouldn't think something like this up, just on their own and out of the blue.
