i couldn't join that free speech style board because i didn't agree to the terms of service where it says i can't discuss things such as faggots, niggers, pedophilia (discussion of, not promotion of), anal rape, smoking crack out of your mom's false eye, etcetera etcetera. i'm pretty bummed about the rejection. to think of all the cool conversations i'll miss out on... live it up over there for me, guys.

I hate them for their freedoms (of speech).

In their defense, they were used to being considered Hip, being surrounded by friends (and future friends),

and most of them are quite a bit younger than most of L-G.

They really NEEDED their own forum, in order to discuss it all.  You know?  It's a shock to lose 75 - 85% of your online friends, all in one fell swoop, and most of them felt that they were too "important" to the site to just be kicked to the curb.  (i.e., me ~ i was a paid subscriber, as well as an active poster)

And, like i said, most of them are a lot younger than the L-G crowd.

I liked them just fine. I know I'm not alone. I thought they were a bit overly sensitive, but apart from that I had no problems with them. They used a lot of smilies and they were mocked for that. Deservedly. They spoke a lot about HF and people from HF and HF politics and they were asked to cut that to a minimum. Threads were merged and stickied to accommodate them. Granted they were probably sick of our in-jokes and references to things they had no idea about, but we shouldn't forget that they were the newcomers. Internet forum protocol demands that newcomers be given a little bit of a hard time. If the paltry milquetoast hazing we gave them was enough to overwhelm them then it's probably best that they found their own forum. They're clearly a more gentle and effete people than we.

There's too much shit on this forum right now that is borderline unreadable or inane.

But, as I've continually tried to communicate, I've tried to be completely fair about how this place operates.

I've not banned anyone.
I've not deleted posts of anyone.
I've not stopped anyone posting their point of view. At the same time, I'm not obliged to agree with everything posted here, and neither is anyone else. Just because someone might not like what I post, that's their problem, not mine and not anyone elses.
I've done what the majority of Mods asked and restricted them to modding their own forums.
I've merged multiple threads into a single thread for the HF guys to try and accomodate them and keep the long time users happy.
I've continually said everyone is welcome here.
I've responded to all critisisms of how this place is run in what I believe to be a fair manner.
I've posted in advance that I will treat posts by the new members with exactly the same contempt as I treat posts by the long time users.
I did not admonish either Dylan or Eric about their incident. I communicated with both privately, and executed what I believe to be a fair response.

I've repeatedly said that the only people responsible for their conduct here are themselves, and not anyone who invited new users here.

None of this is a secret.
