And yes, our PM did rename Boggy Peak, the island's highest point (1319 ft).

They put up a commemorative plaque, and spelled his name wrong.

People are treating the guy like a messiah. I would think that would cripple a person politically. I'm sure more would be getting done if this was more of a horns-down push in the direction of change rather than the delicate eggshell dance that's going on to avoid disappointing anyone as the the anticipation builds. I feel like Obama should take a page from GWB's "history will vindicate me" treatise and strive for glory despite the short term fallout.
