Facebook is ridiculous. It's a small step up from IM and Twitter, but it's on par with Myspace.

Also, I didnt know you had to turn the chat on, mine is always on all the time and I dont remember ever changing settings or anything for it...

It's on as default. Once you click 'go offline' is stays offline untill you change back.

and...I wouldnt upload any pics I wouldnt want anybody to see. Kyle saving pics from FB and here is great...free offline storage. if I did lose shit, I would paypal him a tenner to get them back....happily.

That is why you either don't friend them, or you get cooler parents.  You are almost 30.  They should be cool with you drinking, fucking, and lying.

it's not the drinking or partying or joking that i'm worried about. it's the fucking. my dad is the guy who insists on a peek at his rifle collection whenever i bring a guy home for the first time. he's also a big fan of the crippling handshake.

Yeah, I can't really imagine needing to hide shit from my parents. I don't necessarily tell them everything, but there isn't anything I couldn't tell them, or wouldn't want them knowing about my life. I guess I'm pretty lucky that way.
