I'm putting this in Discontempt and not Entertainment or Drugs because I'm sitting here at work listening to a NIN CD (I don't know which one it is).

The reason I'm posting in Discontempt is this CD is really, really making me wish I could shut off the lights, smoke some weed, and recline in my chair for the next hour.

But I can't, because I'm at work.

I've been working from home this morning.

Work isn't so bad when you can sit in your underwear, drink your coffee, and play your music as loudly as you want.  I finished stuff that I would take 2-3 hours to do at the office in about 45 minutes.

I could probably do all the work I had allotted for the day before lunch.

But instead, the Matlock marathon is about to start, and so you might as well wave goodbye to productivity for the day.

I could have seen NIN in Vegas when I went, but it was between them and Carlin so I ended up doing Carlin. In retrospect I'm very glad I caught him while he was still alive.

I'm glad I don't have a job.  It affords me time to participate in some of my favorite extracurricular activities.

Some friends and I took shrooms and watched this on Saturday night. Blazed a shitload of weed too, which is always nice while shrooming.

NIN is definitely my favourite band ever right now.

Actually, it's more the Cartoon Network -> Charmed sequence that is likely to derail me, then I'm safe until MASH comes on the Hallmark channel..

I bought the MASH box set and watched it all the way through over a 3 week period, just so I'd never be tempted to watch another rerun of the show.

I've never seen the movie and never seen a single episode of MASH. Yet somehow I'm familiar enough with it to get the many cultural references to it that pop up all the time. Kinda the same as with The Godfather.
