Fixed the fuzz on the text.

I was going to push on and fix the colour... but I can't decide if I want to copy an existing button and paint px by px around the text I paste into it... I'm not happy with the way the colour still makes it fuzz.

i have too short of an attention span to read this thread. Is the virus game back? The one where you flip the things to create a chain reaction? Maybe it was called chain reaction

I've been playing several games recently by just asking for random games over and over again.

I've found problems with the following games:
1)Quickshot - can't save score
2)Airwar - can't save score
3)Marsrover - flash is busted and no game starts.
4)Smack the Rabbit - Thrash got a score but I can't get it to be interactive. How'd you do that Thrash?

I'll add more here as I discover new problems.
I'm also curious if these are specific to my computer or if they're general problems so some verification would be cool.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

OK scratch #4. I can play it now. My computer must have been fucking up.

Instead add the following:
4)Militarysnow - flash is busted and no game starts.
5)Skiprock - flash is busted and no game starts.
6)Sonicblox - flash is busted and no game starts.
7)Vlax - flash is busted and no game starts.
8)Color Boxes - championship status is awarded to the person who sucks the worst at the game. This skews the statistics so I think the game should be cut.
9)Funkypong - It's way too easy to cheat in this game. It should also be removed so it doesn't skew the statistics.
10)Jewels - No way to lose the game so infinite score is the result unless it boots you out. This skews the statistics so the game should be cut out.

I think that's it for dud games. Conveniently, of the 110 games offered, deleting the 10 I just listed would make the list a round 100 games and would allow us to calculate our awesomeness nerd percentages exceptionally easily.

Ah in that case, #8 Colorboxes can be salvaged. Lowest is supposed to win.

Everything else needs to be figured out or needs to go.
I can say that Funkypong and Jewels are both definitely removable.
It's impossible to lose at Jewels so the score is just a snapshot of the player's score when he gets too damn bored to keep going.
Funkypong actually starts in a position where if you walk away from the computer without touching it after saying "start" the game will just rack on the points without any interference. This also allows a player to achieve whatever score he wants without any effort. That's not a game anymore.

Videopoker is really easy to cheat on as well since the money decrementing function only kicks in after you say "play" and since cashout doesn't actually take away your money. If you're ever about to lose then you just reload the page to restart the game and you get new cards and all is well. It's totally easy to cheat although whoever thought of making $1k be the most you can bid in a single click is the devil himself. To beat the high score I had to click the "bid $1000" button about a million times. No lie. My arm hurts.
Anyway I say we get rid of the game (or mark it as a cheat-ridden game) since it's so easy to cheat.


So to recap, I find problems with the following games:

Games that don't save scores
1) Quickshot
2) Airwar

Games that don't start up (busted flash?)
3) Marsrover
4) Militarysnow
5) Skiprock
6) Sonicblox
7) Vlax

Games that allow easy cheating
8 ) Funkypong - If you start the game without moving the paddle you can score an infinite score if you give it enough time.
9) Videopoker - If you reset the game instead of clicking "Play" after losing money then you don't lose money but you can get new cards.
10) Jewels - This isn't cheating per se, but there is really no way to lose the game so infinite score is the result if you are patient enough.

Games that require tweaking of game-scoring rules
11) Color Boxes - Lowest score should be the champion.
12) Solitaire - I believe this game should also have lowest score as champion as I believe score is linked to time taken to beat it. I've only scored once, though, so this will take more investigation.

**I'd recommend getting rid of games 3-7 if they really can't be made to work. I'd recommend either getting rid of or perhaps just attaching big disclaimers to 1 and 2 (unless the scoring can be made to work) and to 8-10.

Make notes in the comments of the games themselves in the meantime ...
Again, I'll adjust and work them soon enough, as well as find why the other games aren't working ...

I'd also like an explanation for this common error:

An Error Has Occurred!
Score was not saved because session is missing.

It's irritating to waste time becoming super champion and then be rewarded with that instead of a spot on the bragging ladder.

I'm still logged in when I get this so it's not as if I've been logged out. What the heck causes this?

EDIT: I've also found double entry errors to be common. If you somehow click "send score" twice accidentally then you sometimes get two identical scores reported on the scoreboard. I don't know if we can cure this but we should be aware that that is not so cool. I think you can do the same thing by reloading the page and opting to "resend" the data. I don't really want to try.

EDIT 2: Oh by the way, "Resending" the data after getting a "session is missing" error doesn't fix it. It's always an error no matter how many times you resend the data. Makes me think the forum is losing track of which game you were playing or something.

Most recently duckhunt, but I've seen it happen other times as well.
If I play the game again then the score reporting usually works so this isn't the most easily repeatable error. It's just annoying.

Ok, I think I fixed or got rid of most of the bad games/scorings ....

Additionally, I can adjust the sizes of the games as well; for example, I made Solitaire smaller ...
If you see more games that are either too big or too small, let me know and I'll straighten 'em out ...

Check out the Arena fairly often; I need to test out the different modes in it ...
Right now there's BurgerTime and it's set for 3 people, KNOCKOUT Style ...

Ok, I set up a 3 person NORMAL Style one as well so we can see the difference ...
I'm thinking, in KNOCKOUT, as there's more people, the one that beats the score eliminates the other, etc ...
... whereas a NORMAL you just all play and there's a winner or not
