I fantasize about all the push ups I wish I could do.  Then I fantasize about being able to do one pull up.  That is my new goal.  One fucking pull up.

i am making a real effort to be more effective with my time use for two reasons
1. Working unneeded overtime sucks
2. There's so much more I want to do

In 1973 I could do 200 sit-ups in one minute. Maybe that's why I'm still alive and everyone else I ever knew are dead.
Now I struggle to do a few basic exercises each day for my back.

Consider 1973 your investment for your retirement if you're still alive now ...

Yeah I was doing that in 1975. Now I have a layer of insulation that prevents me from bending there...

Don't have much of that right now. Riding my bike has been very good for me I think. I no longer need to downshift to go over/under overpasses.

I think a bike is a great idea.

I ride one every day for nearly everything I need to do and I can tell you this: the benefit of getting exercise is pretty much completely undone by getting said exercise on city streets full of bus fumes and car exhaust.

I must admit, I love cycling, but also love that I do it for fun.

I was going to stop driving and bike everywhere, but scouting the available routes through west Baltimore to get to my office convinced me that would be nuts.

I like biking on the trails here occasionally ...
I'd never do it in the streets or as a commute here though ...
